The next morning, you were up before your brothers and decided to take a walk outside to get some fresh air and think. As you walked outside, you saw Gabriel wandering around, seemingly deep in thought, and you decided to talk to him for a second, if only to thank him for saving you yesterday.
   "Hey, Gabriel."
He turned in your direction and a smirk adorned his face. "Good morning, sugar. Didn't expect you to be up so soon."
"Couldn't sleep." You said, sticking your hands in your pants pockets. "Um...I also wanted to thank you. For saving my life yesterday, I mean."
   Gabriel smiled. "You're welcome, princess."
That's when Cas decided to drop in and ruin Gabriel's morning. "Good morning, (n/n), Gabriel!"
"Oh hey Cas!" You said, a smile spreading over your face.
Gabriel folded his arms, a frown forming on his lips as he felt a very odd sense of jealousy towards his brother.
"So...when should we start preparing her?" Cas asked, turning his attention back to Gabriel. "After all, Chuck's waiting for her."
   "Who's Chuck?" You asked.
"An old friend." Castiel said while Gabriel muttered, "Friend my ass!"
"I thought we were going to see Rowena. Why this friend of yours?"
"Because every woman needs to meet Chuck for approval before she gets to meet Rowena."
His words hit you and you sent Gabriel a hateful glare. "Gabriel!"
"Did I forget to mention that?" He asked in a would-be innocent voice.
"Gabriel, now is not the time for your trickster jokes!" Cas reprimanded.
"Wait just a minute!" You said, getting angry now. "You never said I had to prove I was the princess! Show up, look nice, fine. But lie?"
"It might not even be a lie." Gabriel said, defensively. "For all we know, you are the princess."
You gestured to what you were wearing. "Are you kidding me? I'm a flannel and jeans kinda girl! I don't do ballgowns and tiaras!"
With that, you left, heading back to your room. The boys had just woken up and Sam was typing on his computer while Dean was just chilling, listening to the radio.
They both looked up when you entered, looking as angry as a swarm of bees whose hive had been messed with. "What's up?" They asked.
"Gabriel is the most annoying person I've ever met! Of all the stupid--"
"Technically, I'm not a person." Gabe said from behind you. "And I'm only trying to help."
   "How? By playing dress up?"
"By helping you prepare yourself and helping you find your family." Cas said as he entered. "Even though my brother isn't very good at explaining it."
"So what exactly are we dealing with here?" Dean asked.
"In order for (n/n) to be seen by Rowena, she must first pass a series of tests by Chuck."
   "Who's he?" Sam asked.
"He's a writer who knows a lot about the Supernatural universe and the only one who Rowena trusts to do the job."
Gabriel added, "That's why we have to teach the princess everything she needs to know during the journey. She must learn what it is to be a princess."
"That's a lot to put on her when she's had amnesia for 10 years without any sign of it letting up!" Sam said.
They all turned to you. "It's your choice." Cas said. "We cannot force you to do anything. I can't promise that it will be easy but it will bring you closer to finding your family."
You considered that for a moment. Turning back to the four, you nodded. "Ok. Let's do it."
                          * * * * *
"You were born in Hell on a beautiful autumn morning." Cas was explaining. "Your father was Crowley and your mother was the beautiful (m/n). Ever since they had married, Crowley promised his wife they would rule together. At the time, your father was one of the highest ranking demons. You were riding horses before you could walk."
   "Horse backing riding? Me?"
   "And the horse."
   "He was white." Gabe added.
"He was always your favorite. And you, my dear, were a very rebellious child. You were always getting into trouble. But your father could never bring himself to be angry with you."
"It sounds like something out of a fairytale. I honestly wish I could remember." You said as you ate your breakfast.
From beside you, you didn't see it but Gabriel looked extremely guilty. If only he hadn't have failed his princess...
