Anastasia (Supernatural au: Gabriel X Reader)

Chapter 12

   Castiel was the one to ask the question on everyone's minds. "So when will we get to see Rowena?"
   Chuck's smile faded somewhat. "Well, unfortunately I'm not sure you can. Rowena has decided that she doesn't want to see anyone claiming to be the princess. She fears disappointment due to imposters in the past."
   "Wait a minute!" Dean shouted. "We came all this way so that our honorary sister could finally be reunited with her family! And you're gonna take that from her? No fucking way, dude! You find someway to get an audience with Rowena or I'll do it myself!"
   "Dean has a point." Sam said. "(N/n) has come a long way and this has been her dream for 10 years. There has to be a way to talk to Rowena."
   Chuck took a deep breath. "Well, every year, Rowena throws a ball as a memorial for the family she lost and for the hope her granddaughter will be returned to her. You could go and speak with her then."
    "When is it?"
    "Tonight. But first I'd like to have the chance to show you around Paris. It will be the perfect place to get all of you dressed up and ready for tonight."
   With that, you clapped your hands and turned to find that Gabriel had disappeared. Frowning, you walked outside to find him standing out there, gazing out at seemingly nothing.
   "Gabe?" You rushed over and hugged him. "We did it! Chuck is taking us shopping for a ball tonight! I'm finally gonna get to meet my family!"
   Gabriel smiled at how happy you sounded. "Sugar, that's wonderful! I'm so proud of you!"
   He enveloped you in a tight hug before crashing his lips down upon yours, kissing you like it was the last thing he'd ever do.
   Finally, you broke apart. "What was that for?" You asked, giggling a bit.
   "Just wanted you to know how much I love you."
   "Aww, Gabe! You know I love you too!" You said before turning back to the house. "Now, c'mon! We gotta go get ready!"
   Everyone was now filing out of the house as you took Gabriel's hand. "In a moment, sugar. You go ahead with your brothers and get ready. Cas and I need to catch up with Chuck."
   Chuck forced a smile on his face. "Of course we do! Go on ahead, your majesty, and enjoy yourself!"
   "Thank you, Chuck! For everything!" You said with a smile. Then you followed your brothers as they got in the car.

   The three waited until you and your brothers were far enough down the road that it was obvious you wouldn't be back.
   Then Gabriel whirled around and punched Chuck in the face. "You absolute fucking bastard!" He shouted.
   Chuck had barely even been moved from the punch but he had a split lip which was bleeding pretty badly. "That's no way to speak to your father." He warned.
   "Oh not just no but hell no!" Gabriel shouted. You have no fucking right to call yourself my father after what you've done!"
   "And what have I done?" Chuck asked quietly. "I saved her and brought her back to you. I did that!"
   "You were the one who took her away in the first place!" Gabriel screamed. "You sent me on an impossible mission! To be her guardian angel! I sacrificed myself for her! I fought Lucifer and gave up my grace to protect her! Then I found her, after all this time, and I slowly fell in love with her again! I have paid for your mistakes time and time again and I never cared! But I love her! And, now, I have to again lose everything because of you!"
   Chuck was calm. "And why do you think you will lose her? I made her for you so you wouldn't be alone, Gabriel. You suffered so much. I just wanted you to have love like you rightfully deserve."
   "She's the fucking princess! She'll go home to her grandmother and I can't blame her! She's always wanted to find her family and now she has! But, at the end of it, I can't be there for her! She would never give up her family for a trickster archangel with no grace." He took a deep breath. "I have to let her go because she's not mine to keep."
   With that, he ran out the house, slamming the door after him. Chuck turned his attention to Castiel who gave him a look of the utmost disappointment.
    "You really messed up this time. You left us to clean up your mess. And maybe it wouldn't be so bad but you hurt him. This time, he don't see him forgiving you. Goodbye...father." Then he left too.

   You were having the time of your life! You had rushed into each and every store you could find, trying on clothes, getting your hair done, and getting your makeup done.
   At one point, you met up with Gabriel and, the second he saw you, he had you in his arms before you even had time to think.
   The rest of the day went along with no problems and, by the end of it, you were happier than you'd been in a long time.
   You had no idea that Lucifer had followed you to Paris and was hiding out for the perfect moment to destroy you....for good this time.
