Chapter 5 :: the test

You gulped nervously as you stand in front of the gate of UA. Your gaze went up to the unusual looking building. It wasn't the biggest building in the world but your nervousness made it looked like it.

"30 minutes..." you took a glance at the watch on your wrist that seems to be ticking louder than usual. You figure it was just your nervousness getting worse.

Not wanting to make human traffic behind you, you started walking straight through the gate, taking a deep breath to calm down as you do so.

You saw a fairly familiar green hair in front of you who seemed to trip on itself and fell forward.

The boy continued to fall but rather than face-first to the ground, he was floating a good distance away from it.

A soft pillowy surface prevents him from hitting the ground. You've activated your light side unconsciously and prevent him from falling.

"h-huh?" you heard him mumbled. You quickly walk over to him to help him stand up properly.

" Forgive me, my quirk activated without me noticing, I'm sorry for using my quirk on you without your consent." you scratched the back of your head.

"n-no, that's not it" the green-haired boy looked at you surprised. you looked familiar to him, but he couldn't figure out why.

He opened his mouth wanting to show his gratitude but was cut off by you. The time seems to show that the entrance exam Is about to start.

"Ah! We're running late, I hope we can meet again!" you waved and ran off heading in the opposite direction than he was going to.

The boy was left dumbfounded but approached by another girl that seemed to notice what just happened.

Well, you did want to stay and ask his name but your mind was filled with the entry exam. You were excited and nervous. 'what will the other recommended students be like? They must be strong. Is this going to go well?"

You've arrived at the entry door and scan your examinee card, the door opened. A couple of students were already there taking a seat, you joined them and sat next to a girl. She has black hair styled up in a ponytail. She had a stern look in her face which matched a few other students there.

There weren't many students here but that just made you even more nervous. 'that means UA's very selective, they must be really strong. Why am I here again?' you felt yourself doubting even more. You weren't aware that you're also stronger than most people your age. Your quirk is very strong but you wouldn't admit it. So it puts you into a place where you look too highly of your opponent.

A hand was placed on your shoulder snapping you out of your thoughts. You didn't notice it but cold sweats we're dripping on your forehead. "are you ok?" you looked over to see the girl that sat next to you wearing a concerned look.

"y-yeah, just nervous. I don't even know why I'm here" you chuckled nervously as she takes her hand off of your shoulder.

"what do you mean? You're here to attend UA" she responded wearing a determined look in her face.

You wanted to answer but couldn't find the right word, you worried you might come off as rude.

As if her quirk was mind reading
She said somethingalong the line of "if you're doubting on why you're here in the recommended list, just know it's because they saw big potential in you, that's why you're here." she finishes off with a light smile directed to you.

You blinked, surprised. But your expression quickly changed to an adoring puppy eye look. "oh my God I've met an angel" you said.

She blinked a couple of times shocked at your reaction and smiled. "Momo yaoyorozu, nice to meet you" she introduced herself holding a hand out for you to shake.
