We arrive at the park with Charles and Sam's hand intertwines with mine.  I immediately drop the leash and dart behind the slide, accidently dragging Sam with me.  I looks confused,  I give him a sympathetic look and an awkward smile.  I give him a peck on the cheek. Charles runs up to James and I smack my head for the stupidity of dropping the leash.

"Hi Charles! Where is your owner?" Sam seems more confused than ever and I cringe.  I don't know what this is, but I certainly don't want my ex-boyfriend interfering with it.  I try to keep Sam with me.  But he gets up and walks over to James. He grabs Charles's leash, James snatches it back.

"I know you from youtube, but you don't know this dog." James's rude remarks are the most annoying thing.

"Ya, I do. He's my...... My girl's dog." My heart flutters and I walk out from behind the slide and walk over to Sam and jerk the leash away from James. I glare at James as Sam's arm snakes around my waist.  James's idol was Sam Pottorff.  Now, he was mine.  I laugh in my mind at the irony.  Sam shoots James a look and his grip on my waist strengthens.  The tension in the air is clearly too much for my huge dog.

"Sam, this is James.... My ex-boyfriend."

"James, this is.  Well, you know who.  He's my....... um.." I look up at Sam and his cheeks turn red.  I can't find the words so I just kiss Sam on the lips.  I whip myself around and we proudly walk out of the park.

"What was that? Little miss cocky?" Sam chuckles and I kiss him on the lips.

"Nope. Just confident."  I give a cheesy smile and kiss him on the cheek.

"You weren't before?"

"I don't know."

"Well, you are very beautiful.  And I would be honored if you would be my girlfriend?" My heart swells and I finally have a title for whatever this was.

"Of course I'll be your girlfriend." I kiss him and his arms make their way around my waist.  I'm incredibly elated and the heat in my cheeks is almost unbearable.  I finally pull away from the kiss and I don't know what to do now.  We walk back to the house in almost complete silence.  It wasn't as awkeard as it could've been.

"Can we go back to my place?" He catches me off guard and I don't think I was ready for that.  He lives in California and I'm here in Nebraska.  I'm sure my mouth is wide open and I don't think I can handle this question.  Kansas City, ya I can handle that.  But dropping everything I have in this crappy city, to go with my boyfriend I've had for maybe an hour? I don't know.

"Okay, in the morning though." I giggle as my own words betray me.  I giggle when I'm extremely nervous, I just can't help it.  He smiles and pecks me on the cheek.

"What food is here?" He asks and I remember that they don't have a Runza in California.  I loved that fast food place.  Their fries were my favorite.

"Have you ever been to Runza?" I ask and he nods that he has.

"Do they have a Wendy's?"  I giggle, not because I'm nervous, but because his cheeks are flushed red.

"Ya, of course." I smile and I hang up Charles's leash.  I toss Sam the keys to my car and I'm glad that we're finally leaving my house. He leads me out of the house and I  lock up.  I climb into the cool car and we pull out of the driveway and I give him directions to Wendy's.  Today has been so weird.  I mean.  Just wow.  We have to book plane tickets tonight for a flight to Cali tomorrow and I don't know how long I should plan on staying there.  What will I do with Charles? I know JC, Sam, Ricky, and Kian all are always over at eachother's houses and I hope that  Ricky will be able to calm everything down.

"Are you sure I should come to LA?" I'm seriously nervous. Sam's hand rests on my thigh as he pulls into the parking lot.

"Of course." He looks me in the eye and my heart swells.  We walk into Wendy's and one of my classmates is here.  I groan as she whips her hair around and Sam's eyes narrow in on the brunette with perfect hair, who's always in a pissy mood if I may add.  She shoots a glare my way and 'bumps' into me as she walks by.

"Lia." Chloe growls and I shoot her a glare.  I let go of Sam's hand so I can face her.

"Chloe." I growl back, just as snippy as she had done to me.

"Sam Pottorff?" She scoffs, looking past me, to my boyfriend.  He seems scared of what will happen.

"Yup." I answer for him after a couple seconds of silence. He obviously doesn't want to talk to her, and neither do I. Sam takes my hand and walks me to the counter.  I look back and Chloe's jaw has dropped dramatically. Sam takes a look at the menu and asks me what I want and I tell him that I just want a hamburger.

"One more thing, who the he** was that?" He takes me by the shoulders and slightly pushes me back so he can see me.  I lean into his chest.

"Chloe. I hate her. She hates me."  Is all I say and he looks down at me and grabs our food.  We walk to our table and I sit across from Sam.

"You want to make her jealous? It's my speciality." He lens acros the table and I can feel his smirk grow across his face.

"Let's do it." I giggle and take his face in my hands.  I plant a huge kiss on his lips and I open one eye to look at Chloe. She's staring and I laugh and Sam starts laughing as well.

"Your breath tickles." He sounds like a girl and I throw my head back in laughter.  He grabs my hand and kisses the top.  I blush and we finish our food. Sam takes my trash and gets up to throw it away.  Chloe goes to the trash and stands next to Sam. Are they having a conversation? What are they hiding?

*Sam's P.O.V*

I take Lia's trash to the trash can and her 'friend' walks up to me.

"What are you doing with her?" She asks me, god her voice is annoying.

"She's my girlfriend.  I'm doing whatever she wants me to." I snap back and throw Lia's trash in the trashcan.

"You know, I love your videos." I shift uncomfortably and I'm highly annoyed with her.

"Ya. So does she." I nod my head over to Lia, who isn't looking, and I'm thankful.  She looks so beautiful, even in a fast food resturant.

"She's a real............ Something." She rolls her eyes.  And I groan.

"Ya, a sweetheart, and the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. And if I were you, I would lay off her." I poke her chest, stepping forward. I realize what I'm doing and decide to just walk away. Lia has a good reason to dislike her and I would agree with her.

"What was that about?" Sh** she saw me talking to the snappy brunette.

"She asked me why I was with you and was just a real b word and I couldn't handle it.  I almost smacked her." I groan and she leans across the table to kiss the top of my head. We head back to her place in complete silence. It was nice.

"I think we should go to bed as soon as we get our tickets booked." She tells me and she tosses me a towel so I can take a shower.  I nod my head and she books our tickets.  The thought of me, Lia, and Charles going to California is amazing.  My heart swells in the shower as I think of all the possibilities. I hesitantly climb out of the hot shower. I join Lia downstairs.

*Lia's P.O.V*

Sam walks down the stair wearing only a towel around his waist.  He sits down on the arm of the couch and stares at my computer with me.  I look up at Sam with tired eyes and he closes my laptop for  me.  He carries me up the stairs and lays me in my bed.  He crawls in next to me and I find myself drifting off to sleep.
