JC actually gets in the water and suprizes me. I kiss his stubbly cheek as his award.
"Why so sweet?" JC raises an eyebrow.
"You're just such a sweet boyfr.... n-nevermind." I blush. I forgot I didn't know what we were. What are we?
"Why are you acting so... loving?" JC chuckles as he pulls me away from my bestfriend, and her boyfriend and whispers in my ear.
"I can't be loving?" I question? I knew why I was acting this way. Andrea thought we were dating, although the amazing awkwardness in our dysfunctional 'thing' that we had, I feel like we are dating in a way.
"I love it! But, really, why are you acting this way?" JC intertwines my fingers with his.
"Andrea... kind of thinks we're dating.." I say leaning into his wet chest. His heartbeat was increasing and I could tell he was getting nervous.
"You told her that we were dating?" JC's voice cracks and I look up at him.
"Yeahh.. was that okay?" I squeak.
"Anything for you my sweet." He says almost yelling and my smile grows.
"Thanks JC." I kiss his cheek as he squeezes my hand.
"Well aren't you two sweet together?" Andrea coos and I smile ear to ear.
"Ya.. they are. Dude, Sam would've..." Kian reminds JC and tears well in my eyes.
"Kian! Out of the pool. I need to talk to you, now!" JC yells, and I go underneath the water to avoid being caught crying by Andrea or Kian.
*JC's P.O.V*
I grab Kian's arm and pull him out of the water.
"Duuuddddeeee! You'll break my arm!!" Kian whines as I pull him towards the house.
"You know how sensitive Lia is about Sam! He was terrible to her! And you can't go around making your girl's best friend cry! You won't have a girlfriend for long!" I whisper shout to my best friend.
"She's crying?" Kian moans.
"Yeah. And you know how I feel about her being upset." I threaten, taking a step closer to my soggy friend.
"Are you boys okay over there?" Andrea calls from the pool and I wave my hand to ensure that we're fine.
"I know. I'll try to be quiet JC, just please don't bash my head in." Kian states sarcastically, taking a step back and jumps back into the pool.
I jump in the water only to find Lia still underneath the water with her eyes glued shut and her cheeks blown up with air.
I grab her arm and pull her to the surface, and just as she gasps for air, I pull her towards me and kiss her.
And I kiss her hard. I feel her muscles relax and she finally calms down. Our lips don't disconnect until at least thirty seconds later.
"What was that for?" She's out of breath.
"I love you. And I've never felt more connected with someone than with you. I've never felt like I can rely on anyone as much as I can rely on you. I have told you things that I haven't quite told myself yet." I pour my heart out into her hands. I'm putty in her palms. Anything I do, every movement, I get a reaction from her.
"JC, I love you. " She looks at me with this intensity. I can't handle it.
I pull her into my chest and kiss her forehead before plunging us both under the water.
Lia squeals in laughter when we emerge and I completely forgot that there were two other people in the pool.
"Get a room!" Kian yells, earning a giggle from Andrea.
"Your friend is annoying." I whisper to Lia.
"Shut up!!" She pokes playfully at my arm, carefully examining the ink engraved into the back of my arm.
"How many tattoos do you have?" She asks, still examining the tattoos engraved into my skin.
"I don't know." I answer truthfully.
Kian and Andrea decide to take their date inside and I'm glad for the first time in a while that I'm alone with a fan of mine. Usually they're the ones going crazy for me. I don't go crazy for them normally.
But this fan. This fan is different. This fan is my favorite. Because I'm in the fandom of Lia. I guess it would be like falling in love with your best friend.
