Today was the day of Blaise and Astorias surprise anniversary party that Hermione and Blaise planned. It was to be at Malfoy Manor at 12:00. Blaise was pretending to have forgotten it and was talking her to a bunch of random places in England. Hermione was helping set up decorations with Narcissa and Ginny as Scorpius played with Rose's toy. Ginny made Harry bring the cake and show up as soon as possible against his will. "Ok, I'm here," Harry said in a bored tone, holding the cake in one hand.
"Ok, great!" Narcissa said and took the cake from him. She set the cake down on the table and took it out of the box.
"It looks great," Hermione commented as she walked up to see it.
"Ah ah ah," Ginny spoke as Harry tried to leave. "You're staying for the party and you're gonna help set up for it too."
"Astoria and Blaise aren't gonna want me at their anniversary party," Harry groaned.
"I'm sure they would love to you see you there," Hermione hummed making Harry stick his tongue out at her. Ginny smirked and dragged Harry along to go set up more decorations in the ballroom.
At around 11:45, people began to arrive. Pansy and Theo were the first to arrive then followed by some other Slytherins. At 12:15 everyone had arrived. Blaise and Astoria were on their way and everyone quickly hid.
"Blaise, I don't understand why we've gone to all these places," Astoria spoke as they walked through the gate of Malfoy Manor. "Don't you know what today it?"
"It's the 16th," Blaise shrugged as they walked up to the front door.
"Blaise," she whined. "I can't believe you forgot." He just smirked and opened the door.
"SURPRISE!" Everyone screamed. Astoria covered her mouth in shock as Blaise grinned.
"I didn't forget," he hummed. "I've just been distracting you."
Astoria started crying of happiness and hugged Blaise. "I love you so much," she hummed as she leaned up and kissed him. He kissed back and didn't pull away until someone yelled 'get a room'. Hermione was almost positive it was Scorpius which made it even funnier. Everyone started congratulating them as they walked around to greet people.
After about an hour, Astoria came up to Hermione and asked to talk to her alone for a minute. Hermione agreed and they went upstairs into the room Hermione had stayed in the first time she had stayed with Narcissa and Draco. "What's up, Astoria?" Hermione asked as she sat on the bed.
"Listen, Pansy and Ginny told me about Blaise coming to see you everyday behind my back, and I know that you would never, like, sneak around with him and that he would never cheat on me but-" Astoria started to tear up, "but I can't help but feel like that's what you're doing because I can't think of any other reason you would need to hide it from me."
"Hey, Astoria, don't cry. Nothing is going on with me and Blaise. He's.... he's just been a really good friend to me," Hermione said.
"What do you mean?" Astoria asked.
Hermione sighed, "Something happened in America and the only person I've been able to talk to about it is Blaise because... because he understands what I'm going through. And it's affected me so bad that i haven't been sleeping or eating and it worried Scorpius so he owled Blaise and told him so Blaise has been bringing me lunch to make sure that I'm eating properly."
"Oh, Hermione," Astoria said sympathetically, "you know you can always talk to me about anything."
"I know, it's just been hard and I've asked Blaise to not tell anyone so it's my fault that he's been keeping things from you," Hermione added. "I'm sorry."
"Ok, well I'm glad we had this talk and cleared things up."
"Me too," Hermione said. "You want to head back to the party?"
"No," Astoria spoke making them both laugh. "I wanna go home and have a baby or something."
"You should totally do that," Hermione said making the both laugh again. They stayed up there and continued talking throughout the whole party. Everyone was gone when they heard the door bell ring and Narcissa called down Hermione. When they got downstairs she walked into the living room to see Meg, Sue, and Rose standing there with luggages.
"Oh, my god! What are you guys doing here?" Hermione asked as she hugged them all.
"We just moved here," Meg said.
"Oh my gosh!" Hermione exclaimed.
"Where's Scorpius?" Rose asked, clutching his favorite toy in her hands. Hermione smiled down at her before calling for Scorpius, who had gone into the kitchen to hangout with the house elves,
"Yes, mum?" He asked with Rose's toy in his hand. When he saw Rose his face lit up and they both ran and hugged each other.
"Rose!"
"Scorpius!"
"I missed you so much!"
"I missed you too!"
Rose pulled away from the hug and kissed him making his whole face turn red. Everyone awed and they all got introduced to each other.
"How did you find us here?" Hermione asked.
"Well, we had some help.." Meg said as Draco walked through the front door making everyone gasp.
"Hey, everyone," he mumbled awkwardly. Suddenly everyone, except Hermione, Scorpius, Harry, and Blaise, ran up to him and tackled him in a hug.
"Oh, Draco, where have you been? We've been worried sick! We thought you died!" Narcissa sobbed as she hugged him tightly.
"I'll explain everything later," he promised. He let go of his mom and turned to Blaise. They shared a bro-y hug before Blaise hit him in the back of the head. "Ow, Blaise! What the hell?" He complained.
"You know what that was for," Blaise spoke while pointing a finger at him. "Now make it right before I hit with with an unforgivable." Hermione knew what Blaise was talking about and turned to Ginny.
"Hey, Gin, I gotta go. Scorpius is going to want to stay here with Rose so will you drop him off at home later?" Hermione asked.
"What? Hermione, it's Draco. Why aren't you happy?" Ginny asked.
"Will you just please do it?" Hermione asked as tears formed in her eyes. Ginny agreed, seeing her best friend start to get upset. Hermione walked over to Scorpius and kissed his cheek and told him she was leaving.
"Hermione, wait," Draco spoke as she made her way to the front door. He followed her out of the house and quickly ran to catch up with her. "Hermione, please wait," he spoke as he stepped in front of her.
"What?" She snapped.
"Hermione, I'm so sorry. I was a complete idiot and didn't know what I had said until you ran out. I didn't mean it, Mione, I promise," he spoke.
"You obviously meant it! I'm not an idiot!" Hermione spoke. "I heard you loud and clear; you rather stay in America with your bar than come home with me."
"No, of course not! I-I wasn't thinking when I said that. It was all just so sudden," he spoke. "Hermione, please. I love you. I have always love you and you loved me once too. Don't you still?"
"It doesn't matter! It doesn't matter how in love we were! You clearly don't love me as much as you did all those years ago! You've- you've changed! I feel like I don't even know you anymore!" She cried. "You're a mess! You used to be so neat and clean and wore suits all the time! Now you look you grew up on a farm! The old Draco- the Draco that I knew would never had said those things to me, whether he was thinking or not. He would have never chosen a bar over Scorpius and me. He would've never chosen anything over us!"
"I'm sorry," Draco was starting to cry. "Please, Hermione. Please forgive me."
"I can't," she sniffed, "and I really don't want to see you right now, frankly, I don't ever want to see you again, so just- just leave me alone." She turned around to see that everyone had come out and was watching them argue. Everyone except Scorpius, Rose, Meg, Sue, and Blaise looked confused. Hermione sighed and walked out of the gate before apparating home, Blaise following after her.
