I breathed out heavily as I sat on the roof of the Dart outside at the crack of dawn. The door opened and closed behind me as I was looking at the horizon to watch the sunrise. I watched as it slowly started rising.
"Would you look at that," I smiled slightly.
"You're serious?" Vincent asked, leaning on the side of the Dart beside me.
"If you have a better plan I'm all ears." I held my hands together in front of me.
"We have a lead on the Mother." He breathed slightly heavily, "We can catch her now if we're quick."
"How is Guy?" I kept my eyes on the horizon.
"I'm fine." Guy said from behind me and I looked back to him.
He was standing with Jack back by the railing. I looked back forward, nodding slowly. I breathed slightly heavily.
"Let's get going then." I slid off the roof and they looked at me, "For now, we're fighting, right?"
Jack breathed heavily and nodded, "Right,"
"Alright," I nodded, "Where to?"
"I guess wherever the trail leads." Vincent said and the other came to us, "I found there's a demon trail leading out of town, and I'm willing to bet we'll find something along the way. Only problem is, there's about three trails."
"Three?" I asked, looking at him, "That seems great." I crossed my arms.
"Yeah," He scoffed, "Except I might know someone who can point us in the right direction." We looked at him.
Fergus...
"Sire," A demon burst into the throne room, and I looked at him, "The Mother, she's taking more souls, preventing them from entering."
"Why are you things always ruining my day?" I sighed slightly, getting off my throne, "Close the Gates, no one leaves, no one enters, tell the reapers to get off their high horses and do what they're meant to." I started walking out and they followed.
"They have good reason to be quiet for so long." They said.
"How so?" I slowed slightly.
"Their leader, Taylor, his life was taken by the King of the Cith days ago."
I slowed to a stop and looked to the side, "Is that right," I looked to them, "See to my orders, if I come back and they are not done, be assured you and whoever else involved will not survive to see the next second."
"Yes, sire," They bowed and left. I left to see if he was telling the truth.
Cas...
We watched as Vincent slammed a demon into a wall in a back way. The man chuckled, messy hair tangled into strands of dreads.
"Vincent," He said in a sly voice, "How nice to see you,"
"Not here for catching up, Al," Vincent put his gun to the demon's head, "You know why I'm here, so spill."
The demon looked at us, smiling, "They supposed to scare me?" He looked back to Vince as he pointed at us slightly.
"Where is the Mother?" I asked.
"The Mother?" He chuckled, "Oh, Eve is many things, but a mother she is not. No matter how many children she bore."
"How's this druggie supposed to help us?" I asked, motioning to the demon slightly as I looked to Vincent.
"Hey, hey," The demon said, "The name's Al, sweetie, don't get on my case because you can barely handle your own." He looked me down, "Cas, right? I've heard on the grape vine you were in a coma for a while, and now, what's that I smell." He sniffed slightly, "Liver failure?" He chuckled and I clenched my fist, "Oh you stink of it, I have something for that, you know."
