I sat in the motel room with the other three.
"We need to get you better soon," Jack said, "You're getting worse."
"Yeah," I nodded slightly, "But it's not like we have anything we can do." I looked at them, "We're flat broke legally and either way I think this has spread to the point I think I'd need more than a replacement liver." I scoffed slightly and my smile faded quickly as I looked to the ground. He breathed heavily.
"There has to be something," Guy said, "There's always something, right?" He looked around at us and we looked at him.
"Yeah, but we don't usually know off the bat, and right now, it's a small edge we're stuck on." Jack sighed.
"Well, then we'll have to find something along the way." Vincent said, and we looked at him, "We're bound to find something."
I nodded slightly and looked to the floor, "Yeah," I smirked slightly and looked at them, "We can do this."
"Yeah," Jack smiled slightly. Guy smiled and Vincent had his equivalent bitch face of happy. I nodded and scoffed, leaning back on the pillows and closing my eyes.
Jack was holding North on his lap while we were waiting for Vincent to finish talking to Till and Darrick about the whole mark business. North was getting bigger, and she was having a field day grabbing onto Jack's jacket and waving it around. She giggled happily and he smiled.
"Still as much trouble as ever," I smirked.
"She's cute," Guy said, and I nodded slightly.
"Up until she starts screaming her head off." I told him, and he shrugged slightly.
"So absolutely nothing, and you're sure?" Vincent made sure as they started walking back in. Darrick had his arm around Till's waist.
"I'm sure we'd know if we ended up with surprise tattoos." Darrick told him.
"Just making sure," Vincent sighed slightly.
"Well, thank you for checking in." Till told him, and he nodded slightly, coming back to us.
"We ready?" He asked.
"I don't know, Jack still needs to say goodbye to his little friend." I said, and we looked at Jack who was playing with the kid. He gave her off to Darrick and he held her on his hip.
"We'll see you later, then," Darrick said.
"See you," I said, smiling at them slightly, "Call if anything happens."
"Of course," Till nodded and we left.
We walked to the car and got in.
"Here," Vincent handed me a pill bottle and I looked at it in my hand.
"What are they?" I opened it and spilled one into my hand.
"Pain killers," He sat back, jamming the keys into the ignition.
"Where'd you get them?" I popped it into my mouth and got some water from Guy to get it down.
"I took it from Till's medicine cabinet." He started driving.
"Goddamn it," I sighed, putting the bottle in the cup holder, "What if he needed them?"
"They're not for anything important, he got a broken arm a while back."
"Looks like someone's got a stalker like crush." I smirked at him slightly, "Leave it be, Vinnie, they're married."
"I don't have a crush, I just didn't want to kill my friend so I did my research." He told me.
