5. 𝒉𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆

"Ehhh? You're going to Hyogo again?" Mikage asks through the phone as you're walking out of the airport.

"Yes I am, sir!"

"Why?"

You hesitate. "Because I found something fun to do here!"

"Do you mean you found someone fun there?" he teases as he yawns.

"Leave me alone! You need to find a girl too. All you do is manager work that I don't even tell you to do even though I am your boss!" you whine.

"Whatever. I do this because you are my friend and you are not my boss! Well, fine then! I guess I'll have to find someone else to hang out with since you are ditching me!"

"We see each other almost everyday!" you shoot back as he just sighs.

"Whatever. Stay safe and hide your stupid face."

"Rude!" But before you can say anything else, he hangs up. You look at your phone then push up your golden glasses. 'Let's call an uber.'

Once you get to where Kita works, you pay your uber man and swing your backpack over your shoulders. Looking at your phone for the time and your eyes widen.

"Oh shoot! I forgot to tell him I was here," you say when you see the time is 10am.

'I need to call hi-'

"N/n-san?" A voice calls out as you were fiddling with your phone.

"O-oh, Kita-san. You're already here?" 

"Yeah, I came early today because you didn't call or text," Kita accurately guesses as you chuckle.

"You were right!" You nervously rub the back of your neck and skip towards him. "What are we going to do today?"

He starts walking towards the field. "Just monitor the machine. You can sit on the passenger's seat while I drive."

"Really? That sounds fun!" You say as you are about to go straight to the automobile but he grabs the back of your backpack making you stop.

"H-huh?"

"Give me your bag. I'll put it in the building," he says and takes your bag off of your back.

You blush. "I can just do it myself."

Once he puts your bag away, he comes running back.

"Alright, let's go! It's going to take about an hour only," he explains and starts to climb in the driver's seat, "Do you need help getting up?"

"No! I got this!" You smile and jump on successfully.

"You are way too excited for this. It's just like driving a car." He smirks.

"W-well, it's a car with no doors and you get to see this beautiful scene! It's amazing!" you exclaim while pointing around at the mountains, the lake not too far away, and the field.

"That's true. Well, put on your seat belt! I'm going to start the engine." He gives a tiny smile at your cuteness/childness. Turning to look at you while driving, he sees you still have your face fully covered up. "Why do you cover your face?" 

You sweat. "Uhh... Because I don't want anyone to see my face," you truthfully answer.

"But I've already seen your face."

"That's true... I guess I don't have to hide it from you then," you say as you take off your glasses and face mask.

He stares at your face for a little while until he focuses back on his path.
