I finish setting up the last couple of things for my girlfriends birthday. Mal is turning 22 today and I am not ready. She barely acts 20 half the time! Hell, I'm almost 20 and I act older then her. But, I love her and that's all that matters.

I walk back to my car and drive back to our hotel. The team had training today, then after were going out to dinner for Mals birthday and then I'm gonna take her to my set up. It's currently 5 am and I want to kill myself, but it's all four Mal, so it's okay.

I got back to the hotel and drop my stuff off in my room, making sure not to wake up my roommate, Lindsey. I then grab a key and my phone and walk over to Mals room, which is on the other side of this floor. I lightly knock on the door and Christen opens the door, already set for the day. "Hey Chris, is she still asleep?" I ask and she nods her head yes. "I'm going to go for a walk, I'll see you two at breakfast. She says and I smile. "Bye Christen." I say as she walks away. "Bye y/n!" She yells back.

I slowly walk into the semi dark room and see Mal sound asleep. I walk over to her bed and lay down next to her, placing soft kisses on her lips and neck. She shifts in her sleep and then I see her eyes open. "Hey baby." I rasp out and she grins. "Hi babe." She says leaving in for a kiss, which I accept. "Happy birthday." I mumble against her lips and she giggles. "Thank you." She replies. "So, after practice, you, me, Linds, Rose, and Sonny are all going out to lunch" I tell her and she smiles. "Then, we'll go out to dinner with the team and after that, I have a surprise." I say whispering the last part in her ear.

She furrows her eyebrows at me. "You know out of all people in the world that I hate surprises." She says and I laugh a little. "Just wait babe, it'll be good, I promise." I reassure her and she just shakes her head.

We lay in bed for a little while longer until she had to get up and change into presentable clothes. We walk to the elevator hand in hand, and when we get to the bottom, we let go because we are aren't public.

We go into the dining hall and once we walk in, everyone starts cheering. "Happy birthday Mal!" I hear some girls say. We grab our food and sit in our regular seats next to each other. "Happy birthday Mally!!" Sonnett exclaims and she rolls her eyes. "You all know I hate that name." She groans, making the girls snicker. "Hey at least you aren't the baby!" I exclaims shaking my head. "We will forever bully you for being 19 Y/n!" Lindsey says elbowing me.

Mal

Once breakfast was over, we had thirty minutes until we got onto the bus so that our food would digest and nobody would throw up at training. Yeah, we do that because that happened to me a few months ago. Awesome...

I hung out with Linds and y/n in their room because my other mother would probably make me clean the damn room. I'm laying inbetween y/n's legs while we talk and She played with my hair. Lindsey had turned the tv on for some background noise. "Oh my god! Do you remember the party that the team threw when you turned 18 babe?" I ask and giggle remembering what had happened.

The girls went all out for her. Alex, Tobin, Christen, and Kelley planned it actually. They took everyone to a club, but Y/n and I couldn't dunk because I was twenty at the time. After that, we went and saw a rated r movie because she was old enough to see one without an adult. Then, that night, I told her that I liked her, and we hooked up... Hey it was legal!

"That night was insane!" Lindsey exclaims and we both laugh, agreeing with her. "One more year and your girl can legally drink Mal, how does that feel?" Lindsey says acting like a reporter. I laugh and shake my head. "I think she can handle herself, She's a good girl" I say and look up at her. She pecks my lips quickly and Lindsey gags. She always makes fun of us.

"Guys we gotta go! Bus leaves in three!!" Y/ n says jumping off of the bed, making me fall to the ground. "Oh my god Mal are you alright??" She asks while helping me up. "Yup, I'm fine." I say blinking a few times.

"Lets go guys!" Lindsey exclaims. We grab our bags and get to the lobby just in time. "Just on time I see" Sonnett says, placing her hands on her hips. "If you were with us, you wouldn't be as late" Rise says cruising her arms. "Younglings, lets go! Or, we leave without you!" Becky yells and we all rush to the bus so we can get our seats in the back. Y/n and I sit across from Abby and Sonnett. Sonnett is a psychopath, change my mind.

It was a ten minute ride to the field, and when we arrived, we went I've to the boot bag and grabbed a pair of cleats. We all tie our cleats together and then warm up. Today, we did some running, stitching the field, and crosses. I've our cool down was over, everyone out their cleats away and we got back onto the bus.

When we got back to the hotel, all of us showered and then meet up in the lobby for lunch. We were in Ohio, so Mal just choose to eat at a local place. Let me tell you, they had amazing pasta! We got back to the hotel around 3ish because a had decided to go walk around the park and everything we saw a dog, Rose made us sip so she could pet it. She's insane. Maybe almost as insane as Sonnett. Nah, nah. I mean, unless...

Y/n

It was dinner time and Mal still had no idea what I had in store. I was going to promise to marry her one day when we're older. That's a necklace in my pocket 27th a ring attached to it. All through dinner I was playing with the ring. Saying I was nervous was an understatement. The waiter brought out a bottle of champaign for the girls to have, but Tobin made sure I didn't drink any. She was my mother figure on the team. Everyone had one! Christen is Mals, Alex is Roses, Kelley is Tiernas, Becky is Sonnetts (feel bad for Becky), Julie is Lindsey's, and so on.

Dinner ended after we ordered a while cake for the table so we could sing to Mal. It was chocolate, and it was delicious. When everyone got back to the hotel, they had decided on hanging out in the lobby. But, I had other plans. "Hey, can we go somewhere?" I ask and she bites her lip, while nodding her head

I take her hand and drag her to the car I had rented out. We drive down to the mini waterfall that she says was so beautiful. "Hey I remember this place, we saw it on our walk when we got here!" She exclaims and I nod, parking on the street. We both get out and walk over. "Okay, we go under in three." I tell her

"One."

"Two."

"Three!!"

We both go under, getting soaked by the waterfall. She starts laughing, until she looks up and gasps. "Y/n... You did all of this?" She asks and I nod my head. "All for you." I tell her and she smiles. I had put up pictures of the both of us and fairy lights. Cliche I know, but Mask loves cliche.

"This is amazing." She says still in awe. "I still have one more surprise." I tell her and she makes eye contact with me. I skip my hand into hers and start talking,

"Mal, I love you. You know that. Your the best thing that's happened to me in my life, and I couldn't be happier about that. Your amazing, kind, beautiful, caring, passionate, driven, and crazy good at soccer. So, I wanna give you this." I reach into my pocket and she gasps. "This ring shows that one day, you and I will get married and have a family." I tell her and I can see tears forming in her eyes. "Do you take it?" I ask. She doesn't say anything, but she nods her head and throws herself onto me and kissing me.

"So is that a yes?" I ask I've we pull away and she giggles. "Yes you big dummy, nite out that on me!" She exclaims and I grin. She turns around, pulling her hair out of the way and I out the necklace on her. She turns around and kisses me one more time. "We should get going before Christen and Tobin freak out about us" I say and She laughs. "What should we do about this stuff?" She asks and I shake my head. "Someone else can clean it up" I say and she laughs.

We run out of the waterfall and go back to the car. "Good thing this is a rental" I say making her laugh. We drive back to the hotel jamming to one direction. When we got back, we got to the entrance and I stop walking. "Are you coming?" Mal asks and I nod. "I'll uh meet you in there babe" I say and She smiles and walks in.

"Mallory Diane Pugh what is on your neck??"
