Kinda short but straight from heart.
'Story', the word itself grabs the attention of everyone irrespective of their age group. Everyone wants to hear a story or read a story or perhaps write one. And when I say everyone I mean it. From little kid's tales to teens social media stories to adult's gossips, everything is a story. We humans have natural longing to either know or tell stories in whatever way we can.
7.8 Billion people on this planet and every single person has it's own story. Who is the man, where does he belongs from, his ancestry, his education, his dreams and aspiration and so on.
You can write an entire book about a person and still it will come short. Today what we think, what we do, what we eat every thing has a context to it, a story in the past which shapes our present and affects our future.Sometimes when I am waiting to catch a bus, I like to observe people, try to figure out their story. Someone waiting for their son to pick them, fathers seeing off their daughters to in-laws, children going to cities for education and even those vendors selling candies in buses, they might have an intresting story too. So many different people, different emotions, different purposes but their ending unknown to anyone.
The reason I like reading a lot is because I can jump from my own life and have a sneak- peak into someone else story. I can learn from their story, be happy for them, sad for them, be in love with them and have a happy ending with them.
My perspective of life is that God must have gotten bored so he thought let's write stories and hence we were born and now he entertains himself while watching how our stories folds out. Like imagine Him sitting on a large sofa with a remote in his hand and a giant TV in front of him watching all of us. Sometimes when something embarrassing happens to me, I often look upwards and say 'today you want to watch something funny huh'.
And then the stories end some have bad ending, some have good, some have second parts and some have sequels or spin offs and if you are lucky you may also get a fan fiction , but there is always an end. It's bound to end or we can't start a new story and enjoy it all over again.
Like Henry Wardsworth says in 'A Psalm Of Life'
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sand of time.So whats your story. Try to know stories of people around you, your neighbors, your colleagues, your maids and anyone whose lives you touch everyday. You see life is too short and their are so many stories to know.
