What would you have said if someone told you that the guy you've been stuck having feelings for, since the past seven solid years- the guy who barely acknowledged your existence as more than just a lame-o nerd- was going to zap into your life out of nowhere and just like that, out of nowhere, he'd ask you out?

Well, there's one thing you wouldn't have said for sure- 'I'm bored'.

The car ride is silent -a peaceful and comfortable silence, nonetheless, boring after all that happened in the last two or three hours- and this time, none of us are bothered to turn on the radio. His eyes are focusing on the road ahead of his view, lips quietly humming to some melody playing in his mind, and my eyes are looking out the tinted black glass, watching the buildings come in view, and trees get left behind as the car runs smoothly -passing the more secluded part of the city into the brightly lit residential area.

Believe it or not, the city lights look ugly, now that I'm seeing them up close and not from a carefully selected spot from where they looked like fairy-lights. My legs are folded up on the seat and my head is resting on one hand, waiting patiently to go back indoors and dive into the sea of fluffy soft blanket- I have chills travelling all throughout my body from the recent events and I can't stop thinking about them. I'm within my own fantasy world, replaying every word that was exchanged between us in the middle of the night . . .

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

"I have you."

"I'll get you."

This might seem immature to most people, but it seems as if the words uttered tonight are finally being registered when their true meanings dawn upon my raw cluster of neurons- after nearly two hours since they were launched into open air, with reckless intentions.

He asked me to be in a relationship -with him- and I basically gave him the idea that I might be interested in one sometime in future.

Now, I may be a complete stranger to the world of 'babes' and 'honeys' and a whole lot of 'hubby-wifey's but what I am not a stranger to is that, you don't keep people hanging when they ask you out -after they serenade a song for you, exclusively for you, and kiss you -oh so passionately that you forget that you are made of blood, flesh and bones, and not thin air, floating on cloud nine. Even if you're not ready to commit to the whole arrangement, you at least give the guy a chance to explore the sphere, which is otherwise far from your expertise and experience. How can you not- after the earth-shaking, beat-skipping, breath-stopping speech he gave about how you're everything and that other people have to adjust to fit in the space left for him after you?
