[Y/n's P.O.V.]
I pose as a flash comes from my pink-haired friend's camera. I make sure to pose dramatically because when the camera doesn't pick up any part of me in the picture I want to look fabulous.
"How's it lookin' Mitsuba?" I ask, walking up to the boy as he pulls the picture from the camera and shakes it. We both stare at it. The picture is the garden seen through a rain-covered window pane, but I'm not in it, per usual.
I sigh. "That's what I get for being a vampire," I say, my voice covered in disappointment.
Mitsuba grins and laughs. "Y/n, you're not a vampire!"
"But that's what I'm known for!" I complain. "Om nom, here comes Y/n the vampire to suck your blood," I taunt jokingly. "Honestly, the most I ever did was grab a student's wrist and bite it, I don't understand where people get the vampire part from."
I plop down on a windowsill, slouching against the thin, though albeit strong, glass. "Do you remember how I died?" I ask. That's a little something I've never known. I died, but I must have died here because I wouldn't be bound to the school otherwise.
"I heard people saying it was a freak accident, but that's it. People don't talk about the deceased that often if you hadn't noticed."
I shrug. "Thanks, anyway. If I were to know how I died it would take out the fun of it being a mystery."
Mitsuba sits down beside me just as the bell rings and students start flooding the halls. Classes must be over. I look up at the time, and it's about noon. Mitsuba smirks. "Do you wanna scare some people?"
"Heck yeah!" I reply. Time to put on the 'creepy little girl' act.
I skip down the hallway, humming creepily, causing an unnatural silence to fall upon the hall. I look back at Mitsuba. He looks proud already. I giggle and grab a random boy's wrist and dig my nails into it, and he begins to bleed, only slightly.
The boy looks absolutely horrified, then, of course, the reaction anyone would have, the scream. It makes me happy knowing that people are still frightened by me. I give a huff of warm breath on the window and write three letters: "B O O" I love how a ghost can do the most simplistic things and still create absolute chaos.
A hand rests on my shoulder, and I look behind me, only to find myself frightened.
I gulp, feeling as if I've swallowed rocks. "Ts- Tsuchigomori..."
He sighs with disappointment. "Y/n, I told you to stop frightening the students," He says, giving me a reminder that sounded much more of a warning.
"IT WAS HIS IDEA!" I yell hurriedly, pointing at Mitsuba.
"What?! Nuh-uh," He protests, attempting running from the scene of the crime before Tsuchigomori stomps after him and drags him back over.
"You two- I can't keep watch over you today, so just promise me that you won't do anything rambunctious?" I can tell by the look on his face he's holding back a facepalm, and the urge to slap us both in the face.
"Yessir," I reply, saluting in a sarcastic manner, and Mitsuba follows my action.
Tsuchigomori scrunched up his nose as if to say 'How were they not dumb enough to live as long as they did?' He pushes up his glasses and walks away, clearly giving up on us.
Mitsuba's smile immediately grows larger as the sensei closes the door to his classroom. "Now that he's gone, do you want to mess around some more?"
I shake my head. "I don't want to get in trouble, plus, I think we have most of the school on edge already." I look around, and anyone that's still out in the hall looks nervous, and anyone passing speedwalks or jogs through, no one's casually strolling or taking their time.
"You did amazing," Mitsuba adds, and I blush from the compliment.
"Thank you. I bet if you got a chance, you'd do better than I did," I mumble shyly. "But I guess you'll have to wait. As I said, I wouldn't want you to get in trouble." I smile gently at him, clasping my hands behind my back.
"Sometimes I feel like you're a different person," Mitsuba says, "Like how you can be destructive one minute and then absolutely adorable the next."
"You think I'm adorable?" I inquire, and Mitsuba blushes.
He scratches his neck nervously. "D- Did I say that out loud?"
"I think so," I say, shrugging, "Would I have heard you say it otherwise?"
"P- Probably not..." His voice trails off. His eyes aren't focused on anything. One second they're on the floor, then the ceiling, then the window, but never on me. Then I realize; His face is bright pink. He was blushing so badly, I could only barely tell the difference between his face, his hair, and his sweater. "Wh- Why are you staring at me like that?" He finally speaks up.
"Sorry, sorry," I apologize. "Did you notice you're blushing?" As if on cue, Mitsuba hides his face in the collar of his shirt, only reaching up to about the tip of his nose. "Mitsuba, are you keeping something from me?"
I inch closer to him, and in response, he moves backwards until he bumps into a wall. My eyebrows creased in confusion. Was he keeping secrets? His pulls his face out of his shirt and looks at me in the eyes.
"Did I ever tell you how much I adore you, Y/n?" He asks, and I shake my head no. "Well, I do, and here's... proof?" He struggles to find the right words, but he shakes it off and kisses my cheek. His pink hair is soft and ticklish against my skin, causing me to giggle.
"You don't need to prove it, Mitsuba," I declare, leaving a small peck on his lips. "I love you too, dummy."
