"Bad news."
Jimin looked up from where he was sitting in a patch of grass petting a bunny. He looked up at Yoongi who was towering over him with a frown on his face. Lifting the bunny gently off his lap he stood up until he was face to face with the man.
"What happened?" Jimin asked, but he already kind of knew the answer. There was only one reason why Yoongi was looking at him like this after leaving with the promise of talking to his father.
"He said making you fake marry one of the officials wasn't a good idea, because if your family finds out, we'll be back to square one."
Jimin liked how Yoongi said 'we'. It was like Yoongi was fully committed to helping him. It was a nice change of pace from what he was used to.
"Then what do you suggest?" Jimin asked worriedly and Yoongi sighed, ruffling the black locks on his head. He looked at Jimin almost nervous like. "You could marry me."
Jimin stared at Yoongi, his eyes comically wide. "Real or fake?"
"Real."
Jimin was gaping now, and Yoongi raised an eyebrow at his expression. "What, am I too good for you?" He joked, and Jimin floundered. "N-no! That's not what I meant...."
Yoongi smiled at the muttering boy in front of him, that already had an endearing affect on his heart.
"I think if you were to marry me," Yoongi continued. "I don't think it'll be too bad. You'll be free to go anywhere you want, as long as you tell me first, and I think we could get along, yeah? And I don't think your family would have any obligation anyways."
"I'm fine with it, but about you?" Jimin questioned. "If you marry me it might prevent you from marrying someone you really care about."
Yoongi just shrugged. "I'm probably gonna have to enter an arranged marriage anyways, so it doesn't really affect me. We could be friends, no?"
Jimin smiled at Yoongi, tears pricking they corner of his eyes because how was he so lucky to meet an understanding man like Yoongi.
"Yes, it's perfect," Jimin breathed and he clasped Yoongi's bigger and stronger hand in his own softer and smaller one. "Thank you so much." Yoongi chuckled awkwardly and rubbed the back of his neck.
He didn't say much but Jimin knew he had understood how thankful Jimin was. For reason, he had felt more connection to Yoongi during their time together for the past two days, than his entire family.
It scared Jimin, with how trusting he was of Yoongi, but at the same time he knew that it was the right choice.
Min Yoongi's announcement that he wanted to marry Park Jimin of the fairies caused a lot of flutter between the species, for good reasons and bad. Some people were glad that the only son of the Min family was finally starting to participate in the roles of an heir, which was finding a suitable mate. They felt reassured that the Werewolves line would continue.
However there was also criticism, the main one being that Jimin was already betrothed. They say it was improper of the werewolf heir to take Jimin for himself when he was already promised to another. It also made Alatar pissed, but he couldn't do anything at the moment to stop it, since Jimins family accepted the marriage.
So now, instead of going home with his family, Jimin stayed behind at the castle that was now going to be his new home.
"This is going to be your room, and it's right next to mine so if you need anything you could just come in." Yoongi explained, but Jimin wasn't really listening. He was too busy marvelling at the room, as it was far more luxurious than his room back home.
"Do you need anything else?" Yoongi asked, and Jimin shook his head. "No, everything is perfect. I can't thank you enough."
Yoongi gave Jimin a shy smile and backed out of the room. "Then I'll give you some space."
After Yoongi left, Jimin dropped the box containing things that he had brought and things that Yoongi had gave him onto the bed. He explored the big room, his favourite being the bathroom. It was huge, with a big bathtub with couches on the side.
He changed into his sleepwear, a white, soft and light dress, and sat by the fireplace to read a book. For some strange reason he felt so at home here, so comfortable. It was missing something though....
Perking up, Jimin opened the doors to his room and dashed through the hallways so he could get to the courtyard. It was dark outside, but it was illuminated by torches and the moon.
Arriving at the glade, Jimin bent down quietly. A few seconds later, the bunny came hopping over, it's nose twitching cutely. Jimin broke into a smile and scooted foreword.
"Hey baby," Jimin cooed, reaching foreword to scoop the rabbit into his arms. "Sorry about leaving you here, there was some things I had to do." The bunny's ears flopped around and Jimin giggled, turning back on his heels to walk back into the castle.
Back in his room, and gathered blankets and a stuffy to make a small bed for his friend. The bunny was now hopping around in interest after Jimin had set it on his massive bed. When he was finished, he lifted the bunny up and settled it into the sheets.
"Goodnight baby," Jimin whispered softly, before he pressed a small kiss to the head. He then crawled into his bed and blew out candles.
It was the best sleep he ever had.
