They were currently in vampire territory, the scent blockers doing well to disguise their scent into the surrounding foliage.

It was dark, the moon shining brightly in the sky. It was a full moon, and it would give them an added advantage of strength in the battle.

When they approached the fortress that loomed above the trees, they split up, surrounding the fortress on all sides. Yoongi spied vampires guarding, but they didn't seem to notice them yet.

One of their archers nocked an arrow and sent it flying to burrow itself in the guards neck. The guard froze, before toppling over the wall and landing on the ground with a thump. No one seemed to notice, since there were no cry of alarm.

They moved in quickly, under the cover of darkness, surrounded the walls. They threw up hooks onto the top of the wall and climbed up, killing anyone stealthily should they be unlucky enough to encounter them.

Jungkook gave the clear sign, and the werewolves split up, four groups going to the west, north, east and south section of the fortress. Yoongi was in the Easy group, leading his group along the path, knocking soldiers off the walls whenever they encountered them.

They were clear, and they started to descend the spiral staircase towards the east wing of the fortress.

When they burst into the east hallway, vampires screamed left and right and began running in all directions. Yoongi ignored the kids and the females and sprinted towards his target, the soldiers behind him following close behind.

They were met with resistance, as expected, but what was strange was how quickly these ones fell. It was as if they were mere foot soldiers or mercenaries. After quickly finishing them off, Yoongi beckoned the group behind him forwards, looking around them off any enemies.

They burst into a room, where a couple of fancy looking vampires were seated at a table, and one look at the decorations surrounding the wall confirmed that they were the vampire council, and if the vampire council was here, who was to say that the leader wasn't?

They screamed and run around, but stopped when a werewolf stepped in front of them and teared them to shreds. In a few short minutes, everyone was dead, the walls and ground splattered with drying blood.

"We're done here." Yoongi said coldly, trying not to betray the bit of nausea he felt seeing the bodies on the floor. As he walked, an eye bumped his shoe and Yoongi flinched before trying to discreetly hide it by walking confidently ahead.

They rounded up any survivors, helpless woman, small children, old ones too, before bringing them down to their meeting point.

They regrouped back in the center hall, where the others were waiting for them.

"How many survivors do you have?" Jungkook asked, eying the hostages who were weeping and crying quietly. Yoongi quickly counted them. "27." Jungkook sighed and looked back at the other hostages the other groups had brought in. "So in total we have around 90." Jungkook frowned, his forehead knitting into a knot.

Looking back at the hostages they brought in, Yoongi quickly recalled the people sent to subdue them. They were foot soldiers, barely able to hold their own against a rabid dog.

The woman, children, and old folk outnumbered them 3:1. This was not normal.

Or in Hoseoks words:

"We've been duped." Yoongi glanced to Jungkook, who was staring at the ground, his face stony. But contrary to Yoongi's expectations, Jungkook didn't look angry at all, instead, he looked almost sorry.

"This is the largest base we have documented on the vampire territory. The fact that there is not much inhabitants here either means two things." Jungkook explained, when he caught sight of Yoongi and Hoseok confused faces. Chanyeol just nodded along.

"One, it means that they have simply been hiding the amount of people they have in their armies. Two, he's wants to do what he wants by himself, and disregards everyone else. This would mean that he's over confident, or he's truly strong. Personally, I think it's number two."

Hoseok looked confused. "But, the leader can't get rid of all the vampires, can they? The village population has been normal and there are practically no where else they could go." Yoongi let out a hum in thought.

Black Magic. An untold entity that was willing to suck any blood, and masses of it too.

"Unless...." Yoongi trailed off, and Jungkook finished his sentence for him. "Unless the so called leader is sacrificing his own people for a purpose, and judging by the Black Magic act he put on for us, I'd say he would be dabbling in the Dark Arts." Chanyeol cocked his head.

"So like, voodoo? Summoning? Cannibalism?" Yoongi shivered at the implications of those words. If he was experimenting on any of these, it could potentially spell out a lot of trouble for them.

Jungkook had the others in their groups round up the hostages to bring them back to their fortress.

"We're heading straight back, maximum two stops on the way." Jungkook ordered, the commander given the order bowing and leaving without a second thought.

"If he was just using black magic, this could've been way easier." Jungkook huffed. "But now we know he's potentially sacrificing bodies, this could mean his goal would be something bigger and more ominous." He looked at the three of them sternly.

"We need to get back right away."
