"Yamaguchi, did you hear what I said?" "Yamaguchi!!!"

"Dumbass Hinata, he doesnt care about all your yapping!"

"So mean, bakageyama!"

Yamaguchi looked at the two when he heard their bickering. Kageyama was now holding Hinata by the collar of his shirt.

"Sorry guys," Yamaguchi replied, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Did you hear what I said?" Hinata asked.

Yamaguchi shook his head, "sorry Hinata."

"Its ok," he smiled, "I was saying that we should try that new ramen place that opened up."

Yamaguchi hummed, "sounds good."

"What's got you distracted?" The small boy asked his friend as Kageyama sipped his milk.

Hinata followed Yamaguchi's stare to where he was looking. A girl with brown hair and green eyes sat on her phone, smiling and texting.

"Ohhhh, I see," Hinata smirked at Yamaguchi, "she's cute, isn't she?"

"W-what? I wasn't looking at her!" Yamaguchi held up his hands in defense.

"Bro, it was obvious," Kageyama chimed in before going back to his drink.

"Is it?" Yamaguchi asked, playing with a strand of his hair.

Hinata and Kageyama nodded.

"Well, it doesn't matter, I can't bring myself to go and talk to her," Yamaguchi sighed.

"That's alright," Hinata stood up from his seat, "I'll go get her number for you."

"What?! Really?!"

"Yeah, just leave it to me," Hinata smiled to his friend before walking over to the girl who was sipping her drink.

"Hi I'm Hinata Shoyou!" He smiled when the girl looked up to acknowledge him, "my friend over there, his name's Tadashi Yamaguchi, he thinks you're really pretty and would love it if he can get your number."

The girl looked over at Yamaguchi who quickly gave a crooked smile, blushing slightly.

"Ok," she pulled out a pen and wrote down her number on the white napkin that laid beside her.

"Here you can enter his as well," Hinata opened his phone before clicking on Yamaguchi's contact and setting it down for her.

After they exchanged numbers, Hinata thanked her and bowed before running back over to his two friends.

"Thank you, Hinata, you're the best," Yamaguchi smiled. He couldn't wait to text her.

"Hey, we should go," Kageyama was looking at his watch, "we might be late to that practice Coach scheduled for tonight."

"Ah, right!"

~

The three boys burst through the gym doors before putting their hands on their knees and panting.

"You're late!" Coach Ukai called out to the three, "put down your bags and give me a lap around the school."

They nodded, setting down their bags and Hinata sprinted off being chased by Kageyama who wanted to be first, Yamaguchi went at his own pace.

~

Yamaguchi threw himself onto his bed, dropping his bags on the floor to the side of him. Coach Ukai had worked the team to the bone and Yamaguchi couldn't wait to get under the covers and fall asleep.

"Tadashi, shower!" His mom called from downstairs.

"Yes mom!" He responded.

Yamaguchi got up before grabbing a towel and headed to the bathroom to shower.

After he finished changing, he laid down once more on his bed before turning his head to the side to see his phone.

"I should text that girl," He muttered to himself before reaching for his phone.

He sat up, leaning back on a pillow and unlocking his phone before inputting the number and sending one text.

'Hey.'

Tsukishima Kei sat at his desk, headphones on as he did the homework for that day. Something with algebra, all he knew was it was easy.

He saw his phone lit up from the corner of his eye. Huffing, Tsukishima set his pencil down before clicking open the notification which was a text. He didn't recognize the number, but read it silently.

'Hey.'
