The Confession {11}

"Where.... am I?" The voice rang through Tsukishima's ears.

"Tadashi?" Tsukishima looked up.

"What?"

"Oh, sorry, Yamaguchi?" Tsukishima replied.

"Tsukki? You're here?" Yamaguchi asked.

"Yeah, we're in the hospital," Tsukishima informed.

"Oh.. I passed out yesterday," he closed his eyes again.

"Actually, that was last week," Tsukishima corrected.

"What?!"

"Yamaguchi, you have to stay calm," Tsukishima urged, "you can't get your blood pressure and heart rate up."

"Why?"

"Broken heart syndrome.."

"Oh.. you've been with me this whole time?" Yamaguchi questioned.

"Whenever I'm available," Tsukishima nodded.

Yamaguchi felt his cheeks flush at the comment, "oh.. t-thank you." 

He nodded, "oh, the team wanted me to bring this to you."

Tsukishima reached into his bag and pulled out a card and a flower plot. He handed Yamaguchi the note and then set the flowers by the hospital bed. 

"They're beautiful, tell them I said thanks.."

"Yeah... I will.." Tsukishima began to stand up, swinging his bag over his shoulder, "well, I have to get home, see ya." 

"Tsukki!" Yamaguchi called out. Tsukishima turned around, "Will you come back tomorrow?" 

Tsukishima gave a small smile, "sure." 

Yamaguchi beamed and Tsukishima turned and left the hospital room. For the next couple weeks, Tsukishima would visit Yamaguchi and they would get to know each other. And slowly, but surely, Yamaguchi's feelings grew for Tsukishima.

"Nice block, Stingyshima!" Hinata called as Tsukishima's feet hit the floor, the ball landing on the other side.

Tanaka walked over and held up his hand in which Tsukishima quickly high fived him.

"Yamaguchi!" Nishinoya called out and Tsukishima looked towards the door.

Yamaguchi leaned against the door way, with a crutch since he hurt his ribs during the fall.

"Hey guys," Yamaguchi gave a small smile.

Nishinoya beamed and ran to hug Yamaguchi.

"Oof," Yamaguchi groaned. 

"Sorry!"

"Im so glad you're ok!" Hinata jumped up and down and Kageyama nodded.

"Actually, I came because I needed to talk to Tsukki.." Yamaguchi muttered, "but im glad to see you guys."

"Right now?" Daichi asked.

"Oh! I can wait until after practice..." Yamaguchi mumbled.

"No, you can take him real quick," Suga butted in, pushing Tsukishima. 

"Alright, alright, im going," Tsukishima glared at Suga and walked out with Yamaguchi.

"Whats up, Tadashi?" Tsukishima asked.

Yamaguchi blushed, "uh.. Tsukki.. i have something to say.."

"Go on."

"Tsukki... I'll keep it short and simple.." Yamaguchi played with his fingers, "i really like you!"

Tsukishima was caught off guard and his face heated up, "Tadashi.."

"Please.."

Tsukishima smiled, "i like you too."

Yamaguchi beamed, "oh, we should go on a date! Like a second first date! A do-over!"

Tsukishima smiled, "I'd like that very much."
