At first, Tsukishima decided to ignore the number, deciding it would probably let the person on the other side know that he didn't want to talk to them, but the anonymous number kept trying. 

'I'm very sorry to bother you.' 
'Please let me know if you want me to leave you alone.' 

Tsukishima finally gave in, remembering that he had given that one guy with a bedhead from the training camp his number. 

He typed in his response. 

'Hello.'

Though he was hesitant to send it at first, he gave in and clicked send.

Yamaguchi couldn't believe his eyes. He actually got a response from her. If he were being honest, he didn't expect her to respond. He believed he wasn't the cutest guy around and that maybe she would reject him. 

Yamaguchi: oh thank goodness, you responded
Yamaguchi: I hope I wasn't pressuring you
(Number): its whatever, I was just doing homework 
Yamaguchi: oh! 
Yamaguchi: do you have good grades? 
(Number): you can say that 
Yamaguchi: I think my grades are ok

"Tadashi, put your phone down and go to sleep," Yamaguchi's mom appeared in the doorway, "do I need to take it again?" 

"No," Yamaguchi blushed, "lemme just finish this text." 

"Alright." 

Yamaguchi: well um i have to get up early tomorrow so goodnight 
(Number): yeah, goodnight

Tsukishima set his phone down beside him and picked up his pencil again. As he did the homework, he thought about the short conversation he had. Kuroo definitely seemed different over text then in person. He seemed wild, but over text, he seemed pretty calm. 

"Kei, you should probably go to bed," Tsukishima's mom appeared in the doorway of his room. 

He nodded, "after I finish." 

She sighed and left. 

After he finished, he put the homework and a pencil in his bag before standing up and walking to his bed. He took off his glasses and fell down onto his pillow, closing his eyes. Tsukishima never really messages anyone so it was new to him, but he felt excited in a way. 

He wanted to text him more.
