School was the same as ever, but they had a new assignment for their support course. Something about practice-designing a hero costume for a hero with a specific Quirk, though not based on any existing heroes. It was quick, fun and easy. So she was in a good mood for most of the day.

"Hey (Name), did you finish the math homework?" asked the blond male beside her walking to class. Tamaki walked quietly next to him.

"Not yet," she answered. "And I'm not gonna let you copy either. "

"You must hate me to always assume the worst," Mirio huffed dramatically. "And I was actually gonna ask for help on it instead."

"Help? Oh, sure, I can-" Wait, no. "Sorry, maybe another time. There's some stuff I need to do today, sorry."

"Hm? What kind of stuff?" said Mirio, and Tamaki glanced over as well.

(Name) smiled cheerfully. "It's a surprise!"

"That's no fair! I wanna know!"

"Mirio, calm down."

"Yeah, listen to Tamaki!"

"Two against one isn't very fair either, you guys!"

As the last class of the day went on, she tried to keep her head focused on the subject. Her mind drifted off to the conversation with Aizawa the day before, their agreement. A smile arose on her face when she thought about what things she could make, using Aizawa as a guinea pig.

Guinea was a weird English word. It was spelled with several vowels in between syllables, but was pronounced 'ginny.' She was sure she'd never be able to spell it correct if someone asked her to on the spot.

"Alright class, please work on this assignment by yourselves to determine what circumstances the current of the ocean would change," said the teacher, passing back worksheets.

(Name) jolted in alarm at the announcement. She wasn't paying attention at all.

Still, it was better to at least put in an attempt than to not do anything. She took a sheet from the person sitting in front of her and wrote down her name first, then scanned the work for anything she could get started on rght away. Science wasn't all that bad, but they expected her to know everything right away. Dejectedly, she tried to write in a vague answer for the first question.

The class was relatively quiet, with only faint chatter now and then. Though, mostly only the scribbling of pencils could be heard that pressured (Name) into having to write something even if she didn't understand. School would be over soon, maybe she'd stop by the public library to pick up a cookbook or something. Maybe she'd slap something easy together and ask what he thought. It's not like Aizawa made her want to try super hard just to satisfy him, but that callback to reality was much needed anyways.

Yeah, that was all it was. (Name) convinced herself of that when the speakers clicked on overhead just twenty minutes before the end of class.

"Attention. Due to recent events at the USJ facility involving our school, school tomorrow will be cancelled. That is all, have a good evening."

Her head rose, not understand what that meant. Immediately, rumors began to speculate among the students.

"Was there an accident or something?" murmured a student.

"It must've been a villain attack! UA never cancels school!" theorized someone in front of her.

"What? You're talking crazy!" another classmate dismissed.

The teacher sighed, standing up from his seat. It seemed the loud chatter had gotten to him, and he spoke up to put those rumors to rest. "Alright, settle down. It doesn't matter right now, so just finish your work. It's just something else for you to look forward to."

That response seemed to ease them down, as most shrugged with agreement and returned to their work.

And so classes ended, and (Name) had only completed half the assignment. She headed to the public library right after school, more eager to get a headstart, seeing as how tomorrow she'd have all that time to herself. The library was almost completely empty, with only the occasional elder or child seated with a book in their grasp.

She strolled through the isles, pausing when she came on the culinary section and browsed through. She didn't know the first thing when it came to actually making food, only knowing the basic things she'd copied her mom doing before, and with a halfhearted shrug piled several cookbooks together and checked them all out at the front.

"Do you have a membership?" asked the librarian.

"Mhm, let me pull out my card," (Name) rummaged through her backpack after setting all the books down. The librarian stared at the pile judgmentally.

"Thank you very much. Will that be all for today?"

"Yes please." (Name) took the card back and placed it in her wallet, shoving it back in her backpack when she felt her phone vibrate. Seeing as the librarian was going the electronic process on the computer, she took out the device and checked it. It must've been a text.

She was proven right when she saw her mom had sent her a message.

"Are you okay?" (Name) read quietly to herself out loud. "Why wouldn't I be okay..." Yeah, she had a habit of reading and typing out loud sometimes.

"Here you go, you're all set," the librarian slipped a bookmark with the dates in them inside the book on the top of the stack.

"Thank you very much!" But it was going to be a pain actually carrying at least three books in her backpack.

The train ride was more cluttered than she thought it would be, with people crowded together. It was a miracle she'd gotten a seat, and thus her large backpack was resting on her lap.

There was a vibration in there, and she checked her cell phone again. Her mom had replied.

"I saw the news about the USJ incident. I was worried you might've gotten caught up in it," she read quietly. "I think that was only the first year class, so I'm fine."

Wait a second. First year class, USJ.

Wasn't Aizawa there?

Her chest tightened as she made the connection. A small part of her wanted to see him there at his door like usual, but arriving to the apartment complex, all the lights in his home were off. It was dark that night, and chillier than usual.
