The silver eyed baby cried very loudly. It was shrill and piercing like someone taking a razor and slowly cutting little sliced on her skin.
"Could it be you're," (Name) popped up in front of Tsuki with a giraffe doll in her hand. "Looking for this!"
Tsuki's crying ceased, and she snatched the doll from (Name)'s hands with glee, making her flinch. Once Tsuki calmed down, (Name) stood up from the floor and sat next to the baby on the couch, deciding to look through the bag that had been left with the baby that contained anything it might need.
The cat was asleep in a corner.
"What about you, Aizawa-Sensei?" (Name) called to him.
"What about me?" Aizawa replied from the kitchen, the occasional clattering of silverware and pots and pans.
"Do you wanna have kids?" she asked without really thinking much about it.
(Name) wasn't a complicated girl to understand. She did things she liked to do because it was fun for her, had a normal amount of friends, and spoke up without really holding back. If it wasn't harmful, she'd probably think twice and reword it, but a question like that didn't pass her radar, so she blurted it without putting much thought into how it could be perceived.
"Why do you ask?"
"Just curious."
Yes, she just asked because she was curious. Simple motivations, that Aizawa himself understood.
"Not really. I mean, I'd need a spouse to do that first, wouldn't I? Like wife or something," said Aizawa, crouched the kitchen floor and putting some things away.
Another thing about (Name) was that she liked helping people her, it made her feel good about it. Maybe because her Quirk wouldn't let her do more, that she tried to help people however possible when she had the chance. She'd never gone out of her way to do what she did for Aizawa, but still tried to make people happy in different ways.
So when Aizawa answered with that, he was basically saying he needed a wife before bearing children. Although he'd given no indication he actually desired either, (Name) was quick to sympathize. And in doing so, she almost said the dumbest thing in the whole wide world.
"Oh, really? Then I'll be your-"
Wife.
(Name) paused midsentence, suddenly realizing what she almost said.
Immediately, her face started to burn up. That was something she didn't mean to say, and didn't think she'd say. It was in her nature to offer a hand whenever she saw fit, but that was taking it a little too far, wasn't it?
"Wify," babbled the baby in the crease of the couch.
(Name) almost screeched.
"What was that?" said Aizawa, glancing back a little confused.
"Oh, nothing, I was just saying that-that Tskki's saying Wi-Fi," she claimed, desperately trying to seem natural.
"Oh, she is?" said Aizawa. "Well, her parents work in a tech company. Figures she woulda picked up a few things from their conversations."
"Yeah, that must be it!" (Name) agreed, nodding profusely with her face still red and recovering from that traumatic incident.
The older male rose an eyebrow. "Are you alright, (Last Name)?"
"Me? Never better!" she beamed, trying not to look away so she wouldn't seem suspicious.
Ah wait, people don't say things like 'never better' in real life, do they?
