Y/S/N - your stage nameLUKE: It was no shock that Luke had a great singing voice - I mean he is the lead singer of 5 seconds of summer. But it was because of this, that a lot of people haven't heard your singing voice. Of course your family knows - they had encouraged you to sing from a very young age. You had participated in school talent shows, been a member of the church choir, and even sang the national anthem at school games. But all that stopped when you met Luke; it wasn't a choice to just up and stop singing. You just didn't have time for choir practice, and you had long since left high school. Your college offered some vocal enhancement classes, but they interfered with your required courses so that was a bust. You lived in an off-campus apartment and Sunday which meant cleaning time. Whilst cleaning you always jam out to Pandora - you were fond of the Slow Jams station. Today was no different as you danced around the living room singing to Ed Sheeran, "just stay with me oh. Now all my senses come to life whilst I'm stumbling home as drunk as I have ever been..." You hit and held the high note following the bridge just as Luke walked in. He stilled hearing the sweet sound, shocked to know it was coming from you. "Baby?" You opened your eyes, caught off guard, "Oh Luke hi. I'm just cleaning up a -" "I can see that. You can sing? Why didn't you tell me you could sing?" You searched your mind for a reason of why you kept your talent to yourself but couldn't think of one. You shrugged but he was persistent, "Y/N you should sing more often that was amazing. We should even duet or something! Love, you know I like to sing now we can be some type of singing power couple!" You felt your face heat up at the corny thought but you had to admit it was cute.
CALUM: "And the award goes to ... Y/S/N*!" The venue erupted in a fit of claps and whistles, congratulating you on winning album of the year. You stood, filled to the brim with happiness, to hug your manager and best friend. You were about to walk toward the stage when you turned to Calum. You weren't able to sit together, but you couldn't resist taking him with you on stage. He picked up on your request, and the two of you met at the stairs to the stage. He proudly held your hand as he helped you up, allowing you the entire spotlight. "First off, I would like to thank God for allowing me to be here and win this much unexpected award. Next, I would love to thank my endless supply of support; whether that be my parents, management team, record label, and of course my loyal fans. Without all of you none of this would be possible and I cannot thank you enough for what you've done for me I truly love you from the bottom of my heart. Last but not least, I would like to thank this man right here," you turned to Calum who's bright smile warmed your heart, "thank you Calum for always being by my side and encouraging me in anything I do. I love you so much." The audience clapped once more, offering you a standing ovation for your heartfelt speech, as you hugged and kissed your man. "I'm so proud of you. Congratulations Y/N." He whispered holding you for all to see.
MICHAEL: After a long day of work, you finally had some time to yourself to unwind and watch some Netflix. You had put your daughter down an hour ago so the house was quiet. It would normally be filled with you and Michael's laughter, but it was one of his late days at the studio. You decided upon catching up on Scandal. By 9, your eyes had closed and you were in a blissful dream state on the couch. That is until you heard your child's screams. Reluctantly you dragged yourself to sit up straight until you heard mumbled speaking. Someone was in the house. Mommy defense mode activated: you ran to the kitchen grabbing the largest knife you owned, and ascended up the stairs. Approaching your daughter's room, the mumbling turned into low singing but your heart was racing in your chest; you tuned out the possibility that it was Michael. "I'm the light blinking at the end of the road blink back to let me know." The melody carried into your ears as you opened the door, ready to pounce but you stopped at the sight in front of you. Michael still dressed in his jacket and boots, cradling your daughter singing softly into her ears under the pink hue of her nightlight. He looked over to you with soft tired eyes that quickly widened at the sight of the knife in your hand. You giggled and whispered, "Intruder." and he quickly understood. "Goodnight sweetie." The two of you kissed her forehead, and retreated to your bedroom.
ASHTON: "Hi guys! Y/N here," you spoke to the camera, "and I have a new video for you today. Most of you loved my cover of Miley Cyrus' Adore You a few weeks ago, and by popular demand I am going to cover another song for you. However, as most of you know, I am dating Ashton Irwin of 5 Seconds of Summer. So there have been requests to film a video including him." You looked over to your doorway where Ashton was awaiting his cue to enter, smiling like a fool. "I decided to mash the two together and satisfy everyone's needs. So, without further delay, please welcome my boyfriend, Ashton." You gave fake applause and audience reactions as Ashton joined you on camera. "Hello everyone, I'm Ashton." He gave the camera a shy smile and a short wave before turning to you. You could tell he was insanely excited but was trying to keep his cool. "Okay Ashton hi welcome to my channel." You giggled, "Do you know what we're going to sing today?" "Yes I do Y/N, you told me two nights ago at dinner." You bit your thumb nail as the nervousness of singing on camera once again setting in. "So why don't you tell 'em what we're gunna sing." He turned to the camera, a straight pro and spoke, "Today, Y/N and I are going to harmonize to John Legend's Ordinary People. Surely a classic that will be way better than my original cover made back in the stone age." "Oh please! Your cover will forever be a loved serenade by those in the 5SOS fam. Anyhow, after this long intro, let's get to the music." You started the music and it was magic. Ashton started off the song since matching his key came easier to you. He kept his riffs simple and kept up his confidence. Throughout the song however, he watched you get lost in the music and admired how easy singing came to you. He had always been jealous of your ability to hold a note, but this was the first time he heard the raw passion in your voice much like when you saw him playing the drums. When all was said and done, Ashton leaned in and placed a chaste kiss to your lips. "Ashton, I thought you said no PDA for the camera." You huffed, touching where his lips had just been. "Eh just this once for the star in the room." He winked.
