LUKE: Aruba

You had gone to Aruba when you were 15 with your family and had been dying to go back ever since. It's all you talked about in terms of vacation plans recently. "They had these huge alcoholic drinks baby I drank half and I was /gone/!" You had a whole list of places you wanted to visit and you had miraculosly gone through them all, except Aruba. So for Christmas, Luke decides to splurg on you - like he always does - and buy two tickets for a weeks stay!

MICHAEL: New York

Your whole life you've heard stories of Christmas in New York. All over tumblr and pintrest there were pictures of the glorious Times Square blanketed in snow once the holidays rolled around. /"Does the hot chocolate taste better there?" "Do hey put lights all around the empire state forreal?""Are there ice skating rinks all over?"/ You'd bombard poor Michael with questions and he'd have no choice but to answer them. Or do the next best thing. Michael knew you had been saving to travel to the beloved big apple, but you hadn't quite reached your goal. So he topped you off and paid for an extra ticket so the two of you could go enjoy the city together.

CALUM: Dubai

You and Calum went to Dubai less for Christmas, and more for New Years. You had seen shots on twitter of the beautiful fireworks and celebration the state has and were easily intrigued. Calum had been working so hard lately with no off time that you wanted his holiday season to be special. The weeks leading up to New Years you looked up affordable and exciting activities to do once you got to Dubai. /"Babe would you ever sky dive?" "Eh maybe. I'm not a big fan of heights but the adrenaline rush must be amazing. Why?" "No reason."/  After Christmas, Calum had planned a writing session with Michael in his new man cave. Before he left, you put the tickets in his notebook making for a fun surprise.

ASHTON: Switzerland

The f.cking Swiss mountains. This silly boy wanted to vacation in a place even colder than where you came from! "Babe, the view from the top is amazing and I think it would be an adventure for all of us!" Yeah and the idiot wanted to drag your kids along too. What would you do about your son's asthama? Or your daughter's excessive laziness? None of that matters to Ashton who couldn't, and wouldn't,  be content with a trip to Disney Land or something a little more local ... and warm. You dreaded the trip; you didn't like the cold and yet here you were, in the cabin, at the base of the mountain, with a cup of warm chocolate, in three layers of heat tech clothing. You watched your husband and his children hike up the dirt covered pathway with the rest of the adventure seekers before sitting in front of the wood burning fireplace. You did have to admit, the view is amazing. And you had no problem seeing it from the comfort of the couch.
