Ariana Andrews stood on the porch of the house she grew up in. Pulling on the sleeves of her long black shirt, she prepared herself to see her twin brother, someone she had not seen since the last week of summer before middle school, before she and her mother moved to Chicago. Both of them were now in their sophomore year of high school, almost 5 years later. While they have texted back and forth, their conversations weren't that of a deep talk, something she longed for from a brother. But she hasn't seen him in person, only pictures from Instagram.
Biting her lip, she decided to knock before someone cane outside and saw her. After she knocked, she waited for someone to come to answer the door, worry spreading through her. What if they didn't want her here?
The door opened, and in front of her stood her brother, towering over her by almost a foot
"Archie, you've grown." She said softly. She waited for his reaction, but he only stood in front of her, surprised at her arrival.
"Ari?" He quickly bent down to give her a hug. Once they broke from, the hug, a smile spread across both if their faces happy to see each other. "H-how's mom? What are you doing here? I thought you were still up in Chicago." She laughed a little and Archie invited her inside.
"London actually. Mom's doing great, she's getting a good amount of business up there." He nodded as they walked into the kitchen.
"Do you want anything? Dad's not home right now, did he know about this." She shook her head no, wanting to surprise her brother and father with her arrival. "Why are you here? Not that I'm complaining, but I haven't seen you in almost five years, why now?" Ariana looked down to avoid eye contact, knowing that if Archie looked into her eyes, he would know that what she was about to say was a lie.
"To be honest, I went to boarding school in London, hoping for something new-"
"Mom let you do that?" They laughed as she nodded.
"Surprisingly, it took a lot of begging. But, both London and Chicago were just to hectic for me, I missed living in a small town." Archie scoffed at her, not realizing that she didn't know about the recent events.
"I'm not sure how much of a simple life you're going to get here."
"Why? What happened?" Archie looked down, not wanting to tell her the news.
"Jason Blossom was murdered, by his own father. Then Clifford Blossom hung himself." To say Ariana was shocked was an understatement. Riverdale was a small town where nothing bad seemed to happen. Yet here they were,a father shooting his own son than killing himself.
"How is Cheryl?" She asked softly. Archie once again looked down, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"She's doing better. She tried to," he paused, not wanting to finish the statement.
"Oh my God." She whispered. Cheryl was the last person she would expect. She always held herself with confidence, and never showed emotion. Even though her and Cheryl's relationship was very rocky, she still wouldn't wish anything on the girl.
"Luckily she sent a text to my one friend, saying that she was going to be with Jason. We found her trying to brake through the ice at Sweetwater River, and she fell in. I broke my wrist breaking the ice. I actually just got the cats off a week ago."
"Oh my god Archie." She walked over to her brother and pulled him into a hug. Once they pulled out of the embrace, Ariana looked up at her brother. "I can't imagine what that was like." He smiled weakly back at her.
"Its okay. Its all over now." She nodded as the both looked down. She searched her mind for questions to ask him, but only came up empty handed. "Here, let me go and call dad, we left your room open for you, if you want to unpack and stuff like that. Um and since its Friday, we might be able to get you into school by Monday." Ariana smiled and nodded at her brother.
"That sounds great. I miss everyone." With that, the the twins separated ways to go off and do their own things.

Ariana walked into her old bedroom, schrunching her nose at the musty smell. She opened the small window on the farside of her room. Her room was located directly across from Archie's, and their two rooms were the only two on the upstairs, making it their space. Her room was a pale blue with white trim, contrasting the dark colors or Archie's room. She had a small closet buy the entrance to her room, which she soon filled with her clothes. Her bed was on the right side of the room, and a desk on the other. She also has a small white bookshelf, and a white vintage looking tv in the corner facing her bed. Once she finished unpacking and admired how untouched her room was, she made her way back down stairs, where her father was waiting for her.
"Dad!" She said happily, as the two hugged.
"Hey peanut." The man said happily. "You're home." She nodded before hugging him again.
"I missed you."
"I missed you too." He replied, patting her back. They pulled apart from each other, smiling. "How about the three of us go to Pop's sometime next week, to catch up. I would tomorrow, but, work has me out of the house more than I am in it."
"Uh yeah sounds great dad. I'm actually heading there now, I'm going to meet with Betty, Veronica and Jughead. Ari, you wanna come?" She nodded, excited to see everyone. She hugged her dad one more time before heading towards the door to put on her shoes.

The walk to Pop's was nice and refreshing. But Ariana had to ask her brother something.
"Whose Veronica?" She asked innocently. Archie looked down and scratched the back of his neck as his face turned pink. Ariana stoped, gaping at her brother. "Are you? Oh my god! Spill!" Archie explained who Veronica was and how they got together as the twins continued their walk to Pop's. When they arrived, the bell above the door rang and they headed over to an empty booth.
"I still can't believe you gave a girlfriend Arch!" Archie only rolled his eyes at his sister.
"What about you? Are you dating anyone." Ariana looked down and tugged at her sleeve again.
"If I was dating someone, do you think I would really come back here?" Archie laughed before shaking his head.
"No, I guess not." The two sat in scielence for a few more minutes before the bell rang and Betty, Veronica, and Jughead entered. Ariana watched them as they made thier way over to the booth. Suddenly a squeal erupted from Betty as she saw her childhood friend. Ariana stood up to give Betty a hug.
"You're back!" Betty said happily as the two pulled away from the hug. Ariana moved over to give Jughead a hug.
"We're in trouble now, both the twins are in the town." He said jokingly. As Ariana sat back down in the booth, the raven haired girl, who she guessed was Veronica, held out her hand.
"Veronica Lodge, and who do high have the pleasure of meeting?" Ariana shook the girl's hand and smiled.
"Ariana Andrews, Archie's twin."
"Twin?" She said with an inquizitive tone as she slid into the booth next to Archie. "You never said anything about having a sister Archie-kins" Ariana stifled a laugh, earning a glare from her brother.
"I'm sorry," she said laughing. "It's just, Archie-kins?"
"I know, sicking isn't it." Jughead said, sliding in next to Ariana.
"Jughead Jones, I see that you havent lost your charm." He smirked at her as he wrapped an arm around Betty. Ariana cocked an eyebrow at the two before turning her attention back to her brother, who also had his arm around Veronica. "You know, it's been a long day. I better be going. It was nice seeing you guys." Ariana motioned for Judhead and Betty to slid out of the booth. She nodded a goodbye to the group and started her walk home.
