"She's behind me isn't she?" asks Hope through a forced smile. "If she tells me she doesn't feel good one more time, Carli, I'm going to lose it."

Carli holds out the water bottle with a playful smile, "easy, now. Take a drink and relax." She tries to keep her eyes focused on her best friend instead of their child that is dangerously close to the other woman. "Everything is fi-"

*Cough* *Cough*

Hope's smile drops and her face becomes pointed. Carli sheepishly smiles in reply and looks away not enjoying when Hope does the laser eyes on her.

"Moms," whines Tobin pitifully while walking into their bubble of conversation, "my throat is itchy." She takes Carli's free hand and puts it on her sweaty forehead. "I think I have a fever too."

"I told you to take the medicine this morning, but nooo someone was going to be fine."

Tobin whines more and looks at her Mama pleadingly as her Mom scolds her. Carli gives Hope a little look before focusing completely on their daughter. "You do not have a fever you've just been running around." Carli pulls her closer and turns her around and puts her ear against her back. "Take some deep breaths. I'm going to see if I hear anything, okay?" The girl nods and obediently starts taking exaggerated breaths. Carli listens for a few seconds before standing back up and sighing, "Honey, I don't hear anything right now but I need to recheck when we get back to the hotel... It's too loud out here."

"Tobs," Hope's voice much softer now, "here-" the mother gives her the water bottle- "drink some, babe." Tobin squeezes some into her mouth haphazardly, most of it ending up on her jersey, before looking pretty sheepish as her mom.

"'m sorry I didn't listen earlier..." Carli takes the bottle from her as Hope tucks the loose hair hanging around her face back behind her ear. True to Hope's IDGAF attitude, she kisses the younger midfielder's forehead right there in front of the stadium full of people. Tobin whines a little but doesn't pull away from her. Hope glances at Carli quickly; Tobin may be sick after all.

"I know you don't feel good, Love," consoles the keeper rubbing her back, "but you're playing so good. There's just a bit longer, T. Do you think you can do that, or do we need to tell a trainer?" Carli frowns feeling bad for her girl. While everyone on the squad, of course, enjoys playing, her oldest child definitely lives for it.

Car notices the look of despair quickly taking over the normally relaxed girl and says, "Hey, as soon as this match is over we can go straight to the bus and you can sit with one of us, okay? We'll get back to the hotel and you can get all clean then me and mom will take care of you, alright Tobs? You can do it for forty-five more minutes."

"Mom," murmurs the twenty-four year old so hopeless sounding into Hope's shoulder, "I feel kind of dizzy. I don't want to pass out."

Hope tightens her grip around the younger girl and looks at her concerned, "You ate breakfast, yeah?" Tobin doesn't reply making Hope sigh, "Tobin Powell... what are we going to do with you?"

"I wasn't hungry then..."

Carli frowns and resists the urge to pop her. Hope turns her body, shielding Tobin, from Carli because she knows how the other woman feels about taking care of their bodies... Heck, Hope had been on the wrong end of scolding from her over it

"Let's go find a protein bar or something, okay?" Hope leads the younger girl off towards the benches. Carli watches them walk off and sighs... Tobin's definitely sick. The kid never turns down a meal.

"Alright, T," smiles Hope crawling into her bed, "c'mere. Let's rest, Love." Tobin, donning baggy sweat pants and an oversized t-shirt, gets under the covers and snuggles into her mom's side. "You played so good today, baby," praises the mother cuddling her close. "Even when you're so sick, my baby girl is a rockstar." Tobin blushes and hides her face in her neck never really being the one to accept praise well. "What movie do you want to watch tonight, huh? You can sleep in here with me and Mama, okay sweet girl?"

"My head hurts."

"It does, hmm?" Tobin sniffles and pushes in the area between her eyes to indicate her sinuses. "I think you have a cold... Mama has some medicine that will help okay?" Tobin nods dully while flipping through the TV channels. She stops on SpongeBob. Hope would normally complain, but since the girl really is having it rough, she leaves her be. After ten minutes of watching the Sponge run over things in a boat mobile, the hotel room door opens revealing Carli with a Walmart bag.

"Okay, Tobin, I've got cold medicine- the fizzy kind like you like- and some cough syrup." Tobin rolls over so her back is to the woman and puts her face in the mattress so there is no way that gross stuff can get in her. Hope rubs the girl's back while Carli fixes a cup of the Alka-Seltzer tablets. Once dissolved Car sits on the edge of the bed while Hope forces the girl to sit up. "Drink all this and then you're done."

"We'll lay back down and watch Spongebob all you want after, babe."

Tobin timidly looks between the two women before giving in and drinking down the medicine. Carli sets the cup on the bedside table while pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "Good girl." She stands back up and pats her leg gently. "You can lay back with Mom now. I'm going to take a shower and then you can get in my bed if you want, okay?"

"Mkay," murmurs Tobin turning and snuggling back with Hope and putting her eyes back on the tv. "Thanks for the medicine. I love you."

Hope cuddles Tobin and kisses her hair softly, "We love you so much sweet girl. Let's relax until bedtime, alright?" Hope kisses her head again and turns the tv up slightly so it can actually be heard. Tobin lets her body fully settle down while watching the show. She really does love her moms.
