It's always hard being back at the start
It's always hard forgetting the past.
But if it was easy.... what would life be?
If it was easy... would you mean this much to me?

Third-Person POV:
Raised voices could be heard throughout the top floor of the eighty-two storey building, belonging to the successful phone company, Touch Corporations. Lawyers, important staff members and shareholders have yet to decide upon the distribution of the deceased CEO's shares. It was obvious that like the previous meetings, the outcome of today's one will be pointless. Surprisingly the two women who were the subject of this discussion remained silent. Sitting on the opposite ends of the table, the two women refused to make eye contact.
"Miss Badwi is a vital part of this company and has been for twenty-five years! She deserves to have at least forty per cent of her husband's shares", Miss Swift, her lawyer yells for the tenth time.
"Ex-husband! ", retorts Mr Payne, the opposing team's lawyer. "Mr Thirlwall's Will claims that his daughter is to receive all his shares," says Mr Payne firmly. "Therefore this argument is invalid, isn't that right Miss Thirlwall?"
The middle-aged man turns his head to face the brown-eyed brunette. But the brunette ignores him. Jade Thirlwall looks as though she is trapped in a terrifying daydream. She remains seated, staring into space, with a gloomy expression on her face. She is completely oblivious to the heated discussion surrounding her.
"Miss Thirlwall?" Mr Payne repeats softly.
"Miss Thirlwall?" he repeats with a slightly raised voice.
Mr Payne shakes his head in defeat, as he returns to the heated discussion. As expected, the verbal battle continues. After forty minutes of this never-ending argument, a creaking noise is heard as Miss Thirlwall gets up from her chair. The remaining members are so engrossed in their discussion that they do not notice. Only Norma Badwi sees her daughter turn her back towards her and walk out of the room. A site she has unfortunately witnessed many times before.
Jade Thirlwall, Touch Corporations new CEO, takes the elevator down to the car park. She maintains a swift gate, causing her sleek, high ponytail to bounce frantically. Numerous staff members greet her along the way, but she fails to notice. It's drizzling slightly, but she couldn't care less. Not even a thunderstorm could bring her out of her thoughts. Her driver, Niall Horan comes to her rescue and places an umbrella over her.
"Off to the wedding reception, mam?" Mr Horan asks. The brunette doesn't reply but simply gets into the car. Niall sighs and takes a guess, dropping Jade to the wedding reception.
