You see the world in black and white,

The roads are clear...

You aren't afraid to try.

I wish I could see the world through your eyes,

And not get stuck inside the maze

That is my mind.

I felt better after burning Jed's photo. However, singing made me feel like I had grown wings. As though I could fly away from my worries and into another world. A place where everyone and everything that causes me pain ceased to exist. Music has always been my biggest passion but it had been at least five years since I had last performed. Therefore to receive the response I did was gratifying.

My heart has continued to remind me that I wouldn't have even considered getting up on stage if it hadn't been for Perrie. Her presence is like the much needed cold breeze on a hot summer's day. Refreshing my soul and allowing me to carry on. When she was hugging me, I finally felt as though I wasn't drowning. Her arms acting like an anchor and saving me from life's distress.

Perrie and I decide to explore the lake after the crazy karaoke event. Our night bus won't be leaving for another two hours so we have plenty of time. Conveniently we walk past a shopping complex, allowing us to purchase another outfit to wear. I am hoping that no one from work is tracing my location from my credit card transactions. It's quite rare for a CEO to not show up without notice.  So I don't blame them for worrying... but I am not ready to go back just yet.

Our hands occasionally brush each together, as we walk by the lake. I wonder if Perrie can feel the butterflies like I do. She probably doesn't though; she already has someone to love.

"Let's sit by the wharf and watch the sunset!" Perrie says excitedly. I nod in response. After twenty minutes of walking the blisters on my feet are happy to have a rest.

I allow myself to get lost in the scenic view in front of us. Having lived in the city for the majority of my life, it's refreshing to immerse in nature. Mixtures of shimmering yellow and crimson colours merge, creating an orange gradient over the night sky. The rays of light dance delicately across the lake. The lake mirrors the view of the sky.

"Jade?" Perrie whispers, bumping her shoulder with mine.

"Yea?" I whisper, repeating her actions and smiling at her.
