Forever and ever,

I can see us here.

So lost in each other... to even care.

I never thought I would find a love this rare,

So promise me you will stay ...remain like this,

Because you are the one thing,

I will always miss.

My heartbeat accelerates as I enter the living room. The sun is gleaming brightly, through opposing glass windows, making my eyes water slightly. Perrie's remaining family members are sitting down on the navy-blue sofa. However, it is evident who is of most importance. All eyes are focusing on the man in the center of the room.

Sitting proudly on a single sofa chair is an elderly man. He is wearing a white shirt with a black tie and complementary black pants. The map of wrinkles on his face informs me on the incredible journey he has been on, while the lines on his forehead display his worries. A few strands of hair remain on his otherwise bald head. His eyes are bright blue, just like Perrie's, framed with thick white eyebrows. Although his eyes display warmth and affection, the power he radiates and his stern facial expression warn me to never cross him.

Perrie's family moves aside, allowing Perrie and me to stand directly in front of Granddad Cyrus.

"Who is that girl?" Cyrus asks bluntly.

"My friend", Perrie mumbles.

It is rare to witness the bubbly and carefree Perrie Edwards nervous. It makes me even more scared.

"What kind of friend? Cyrus asks sternly, as his eyes flicker from Perrie to me, repeatedly.

"We are just friends, nothing like that...", Perrie whispers.

"Nothing like what exactly?" Cyrus asks, raising his eyebrows.

"She is just a friend", Perrie says confidently.

"Then why has she travelled to Winter Bay with you? It is not exactly a short journey. Also, why have we not been introduced before?" Cyrus asks.

"Actually granddad, she is the one that brought me home. I missed my train at night, at a random stop. I didn't even know her before. I met her on the train. Regardless of us being strangers she helped me, ensuring I reached home safely", Perrie says convincingly.

I feel several pats on the back, as other family members smile warmly at me.

"There is nothing more than friendship going on right? Call it wisdom or whatever, but at my age, we can immediately tell if something is going on between two people", Cyrus says sternly.
