Perrie's POV
Warm light filtered through my eyelids waking me up. Sunlight is shining through the curtain, reflecting on to several objects around the room. I can't help but smile as I open my eyes. Last night was amazing and it wasn't a fraction of all the things I want to do with Jade. I turn my head, excited to wake up Jade with kisses. But to my surprise her side of the bed is empty. That is odd; I thought I would be the one leaving first, as this is the guest room. I get up quickly and check the bathroom but there is no one there. Where could she have gone?
I decide to head back to my room before anyone wakes up. I change out of my pyjamas and continue searching for her around the house. Unfortunately, there is no sign of her anywhere. I can feel my heart hitting my chest, as my nerves overpower me. It is unlike Jade to disappear without an explanation. Surely she would have said something yesterday if she had to be somewhere. I am about to give her a call when I realise that I don't even know her cell phone number. I can't help but chuckle at this; I don't know the phone number of the woman I am about to marry, how bizarre. I decide to make myself a cup of coffee and sit by the dining table, hoping Jade will miraculously walk through the door.
The slowest hour of my life goes by and still, there is no sign of her. My mind is going crazy thinking of the places she could be. Maybe I should check the beach? She could have gone to the shops...The sound of fast pacing footsteps approach the dining room door distracts me from my worries. I get my hopes up momentarily; however, it is Leigh that walks through, not my Jadey. Dressed in black tights and sports bra, with her hair tied back and slightly flushed cheeks, she is undoubtedly returning from her morning run.
"Morning Pez, I am surprised to see you up early", she says, breathing heavily and taking a sip from her drink motel.
"Morning...Yea it was very bright in my room. Hey, have you seen Jade by any chance?" I ask, trying to ensure my tone remains casual.
"How can it be bright in your room? You don't get the sun till the afternoon usually?" Leigh asks, raising her eyebrows at me. I ignore her suspicious gaze and repeat my question to her.
"Have you seen Jade?" I ask impatiently.
"No sorry I haven't, maybe she is asleep?"
"The guest room is empty", I say sadly.
