You came here when the doors were closed,

But somehow you found the key.

Now here I am...

wanting,

jealous,

pretending not to care.

But the truth is,

I love you

Perrie's POV

I slowly and reluctantly uncover my face to turn off my alarm. Streaks of sunlight penetrate through the gap between my curtains, blinding me. I drag myself out of bed and change into the first summer dress I can find, and head downstairs to meet Jade. So much for sleeping in today... I know it's was my idea to meet this early but I cannot risk being heard. Fortunately Jade is already waiting by the door as I arrive. The hallway lights are turned off but I can just make out her petite figure.

"Let's go, we will talk once we are far enough from the house", I whisper as I turn the key.

I grab her hand without thinking, as we walk down the track leading to the beach. Jade and I walk in silence, allowing the sea breeze to wake us up. After a few minutes, we arrive at the beach. I sit down on the sand, a few metres away from the water, facing the sea. Jade follows my lead and sits beside me, hugging her legs.

At this time the sea is perfectly calm, resembling a peaceful lake. The soft murmurs of the waves are hardly audible, crashing gently against the gold hue sand. The air vibrates around us, carrying salty perfume. I love being out here. When there is nothing but you and the waves. Personal space is hard to come by when you live with your extended family. So coming here is the perfect getaway.

I turn to Jade as she gazes out at the water, undoubtedly appreciating the scenery. Her hair is no longer straight but miraculously curly. Her lustrous curls defy rules and gravity yet it looks as though it has been professionally styled. Its golden brown shade perfectly complements the sand. The sun's gaze highlights her smooth caramel skin. I am tempted to run my hand over her slender arms. Wearing a black dress with white polka dots, she looks more like a model than a CEO. A few seconds pass as I continue to admire her.
