Chapter 10 : secret meeting

" I think you have made the wrong decision " Caleb groans as more students start to fill the class

" no , all we want is a restraining order so he wouldn't get near her , there is no need to prosecute him " he turns to me

" ashley I know you hate him , but he's my friend after all" he continues

Before I could reply back , my eyes fall on the guy with a blond hair and beautiful green eyes who walks with his friends and of course Megan , he just walks by and gives us a nod and head to his seat with his friends , that's when Dr Brandon begins the lecture

after finally finishing the management class , I gladly walk to my car in the parking lot but my cellphone vibrates in my back pocket so I reach it and unlock it to read the text message

" Ashley "

I look up to see jake walking towards me " hey"

" Hi " I reply back as I read the text again

" How have you been" he asks

" Uhh good ? " I look down at my cellphone again to reply

" is everything alright with you " he asks

" What do you mean ? " I ask as I unlock my cellphone and put It back in my back pocket

" Come on , you don't think I bought that ' jackie has lost her purse ' thing , do you " he states

" I don't care if you don't " i raise my eyebrow at him and turn around to walk to my car

" seriously ashley , are you having trouble here " he grabs my wrist to turn around and face him but once i give him a glare , he drops his hands instantly

" What exactly do you want jake ? I am really starting to lose my patience " I glare at him

" What were you really doing yesterday at the police station ? " He asks again

" Bloody great ! If we are going to discuss why I was at the police station yesterday , then I should ask you the same question , shouldn't I jake ? " I raise an eyebrow at him

Before he opens his mouth to reply , I cut him " but hey guess what , I don't even give an absolute damn about what you were even doing "

He widens his eyes at me , definitely speechless " I guess I made a mistake by caring about you "

" Well you most definitely did , so do me a favour and leave better sooner than later" I hiss " they all do eventually "

With that I turn on my heels and walk towards my car and leave this campus

" I didn't think you would come " he says as he approaches me

" How did you get my number " I say as I get out of the car

" I can get whatever I want " I hisses

" Well good thing I am getting a new one " I mock , it's true even though all of my relatives in England have stopped sending me text messages and calling me probably they figured that I would no longer answer them , but I wanted to change my number anyway and maybe keep that old one too

" So yesterday , I find a fucking cop coming to my doorstep and telling me that I have been sued ? What the fuck is that ? " He raises his voice

" Lower your voice Kyle " I glare at him and look around the empty parking lot of the abandoned building

" I want you to remove the restraining order " he pulls his hair out

" Right , so you would come around again and apologise so she would give in and get back together " I roll my eyes at him

" did she lose the baby " he ignores my last statement

" She will , you know I could have thrown you in jail for years , right ?"

" but you didn't " he challenges me

"I just ... I.. I want her to keep the baby " his eyes start to fill with .. Tears ?

" What " I gasp , Okay I wasn't expecting that

" I thought about it , I need her and I need that child .. Trust me ashley I am capable of changing , I can be a good father for that child "

is he fucking serious ?? He must be playing some game so he would get back to jackie and kill her or do what ever he pleases and I sure as hell won't stand there watch her suffering just like Maggie

" I am not falling for this shit " I hiss

" this is no shit , I am being fucking serious "

nope he is not

" The trial is in 3 weeks and I don't expect to see you before then , goodbye Kyle " I turn around from him and open the car door , desperately trying to get out of here

" don't you dare leave bi...." He shouts

" Don't you dare say it or God helps me I will make sure you spend the rest of your life in jail starting from today" I hiss at him and drive away
