Chapter 3 : flat mate

The cab took me to an apartment which I've agreed to share with a college girl named Jackie

As I took the elevator and reached floor 6 , I rang the bell on apartment 603 and was greeted with Jackie

just like I've imagined, a girl with tattoos all over her arms and with a nose and lip ring

" Ashley right " she smiled

" Yup" I popped on the 'p' as I walked past her

" Welcome to Boston roommate , no wait flat mate " she laughed

" Thanks" I said as I looked around the living room

" Come on , let me show you around " she instructed and she walked me around

" This is the kitchen , it's not really small nor too big , it's just adequate " then she turned around to another room

" And this is the bedroom , there is only one so you are gonna take the bed on the right , I've already chose the on the left " she continued as she showed me the room

" Let me show you the bathroom it's .."

" That's fine , I think I am gonna unpack and sleep " I interrupted her

" Eager much " she Smirked

" I just want to adjust here " I replied

" So what's the reason behind leaving the United Kingdom ?" She crossed her hands over her chest

" Nice tattoos " I tried to avoid answering the question

She laughed " which one exactly ?"
" The skull one " I pointed out

" Oh yeah that was my seventh tattoo , after the twelfth I decided to keep it as an arm tattoo , doesn't it look awesome " she gushed

" Yeah , maybe you can take me to get one too " I said

"What ? You ? " She questioned

"Yeah, what's wrong with me? " I asked back as i took my shirts out and headed to the closet

" Nothing you don't seem like a girl who would get a tattoo " she raised her eyebrow

I was never that kind of girl , but all I wanted was to be 180 degrees different

" Well don't judge the book from its cover " I replied

" Alright then , I will take you there tonight and we'll see if you are really gonna do it "

" Oh don't underestimate me " I raised my eyebrow at her

" Alright alright " she raised her hand in defence

" I am gonna take a shower and then order pizza , is pepperoni good to you ?" She asked

" Yeah fine "

" Kyle called he said he will come with us " she said as she took the last slice of pizza

" Kyle who? " I asked

" My boyfriend " he wants a new tattoo
" Does he always have a lot of tattoos like you do ? " I asked

" You think I have a lot of tattoos ? Just wait till you see Kyle " she laughed

" alright " I said as I stood up to take my plate to the kitchen
I have really check my cellphone since I arrived and I didn't really want to , but I switched it on anyway and was greeted with various notifications and messages

I ignored all of the notifications and checked the messages

Apparently I had over 75 messages

A lot of them were from unknown numbers expressing their condolence and various missed calls some from aunt Stacey , Maggie and William ( so he decided to call then)

I put my cellphone down on the counter and filled a cup of water from the faucet

" Ready ?" Jackie asked

" Now ?" I raised my eyebrow at her

" Yup , Kyle is waiting "

"Alright let's go " what am I getting myself into
