My happiness quickly ended when I remembered what had happened before we had gotten home.

I sat up in bed, wanting to go comfort Ann, but I looked at the clock and saw it was only 9. She wouldn't be up for a few hours.

I spent the morning feeling anxious for Ann. By 11, everyone but Ann was awake. Rin was pretty hungover, but I think she was mostly concerned for her best friend.

We all operated quietly around the house, very aware of what had happened. Finally at noon, we heard the door to her room creak open. The three of us rushed over a little too quickly. Ann gave a sad smile when she saw us.

"You're going to find someone better, Ann," Rin said.

"I really hope you're doing okay and that you know we're here for you," I added.

"I've never met Lena," Smii7y said, "but she sounds like an idiot."

Ann gave another small smile and we all got into an awkward group hug. As awkwardly as it began, it ended, but it was clear to all of us the amount of love we had for each other.

"This might be a bad time," Rin said hesitantly, "but Vanessa is having a party tonight and she invited me-"

"What?!" Ann and I shouted at the same time.

"Who's Vanessa?" Smii7y asked putting his arms around me.

"The girl Rin has had a crush on like forever. She went to high school with us too."

"I know!" Rin said. "I was so surprised when she invited me, but I don't want to go alone, and I'm not going to go with Ann like this..."

Ann was quiet.

"I'll go with you," Smii7y said. "Then Miki and Ann can have some time together."

"I would like that," Ann said.

We all smiled at his great idea and Rin looked thrilled. She ran at Smii7y and tackled him, pushing me in the process. We all laughed.

The day went quickly. Ann had errands to run, and I spent some time at the library and the gym. When it was time for Rin and Smii7y to leave, Ann had just gotten home, and I was very excited for our much needed girl time. Smii7y kissed me goodbye and Rin was practically bouncing with excitement.

Right as the door closed, Ann's phone rang.

"It's Lena," she said. I was about to protest, but she had already answered the call.

I listened to Ann's side of the conversation, but she didn't say much that told me anything, but she sounded happy almost.

When she hung up I asked, "So, what did she say?"

"She said that she was sorry, and she was just really drunk and it's the biggest mistake she's ever made and she really doesn't want to lose me."

That didn't sound good to me, I opened my mouth to say something but Ann caught me off.

"And I believe her. We've been together for so long and nothing like this has happened before. I want to forgive her and move on." I was not the right person for this.

"Ann, I'm just not really sure it's the greatest idea-"

"Miki, it's my decision okay!" She yelled with anger. I could feel a panic attack rising so I excused myself to my room, and decided I should give her time to cool off and then maybe I could tell her this was a bad idea.

I got a text from Rin

why did ann just text me telling me to come home because she didn't want to be alone with you?

Miki
is she really that mad at me? I just tried telling her being with lena was a bad idea

Rin
she's seriously thinking of getting back together with Lena? Ugh.

Miki
I know, I know, ill handle it. you just spend your time with Vanessa okay?

Rin
thanks girl

I decided to play some Minecraft to calm down, and after I was okay, I walked back into the living room to try to talk to Ann again.

"Leave me alone!" She yelled right away. I backed into my room and closed the door. She had not cooled down yet.

As I was now trapped in my room, I looked around trying to find something to do, but nothing seemed interesting. Just then, as if Smii7y could read my mind he texted me.

well not to make it worse, but there's a very drunk girl clearly hitting on me, but don't worry about it. I'm not lena

Miki
I'm not worried I trust you. how's vanessa and rin?

Smii7y
I haven't seen them for a while, so I'm assuming good. I wish you were here though.

Miki
well ill see you soon. try to make some friends and maybe get that girl some water or something

A few hours later I heard the front door open, and I peaked out into the living room. Ann was no where to be seen so I assumed it was safe.

"Oh my god!" Rin yelled, clearly drunk. "You'll never believe what happened with Vanessa!"

Ann poked her head out of her room.

"Well come tell me and leave Miki out of it please." Damn that one kind of hurt.

Drunk Rin flopped into Ann's room. I could hear her muffled excitement through the wall.

Smii7y came up to me.

"Why is she so mad?" He asked planting a kiss on my forehead.

"Probably still processing what happened. I'm trying not to take it personally," I sighed.

"That's my girl," he said with his big smile.

"I'm guessing Rin is too drunk and excited to bring up Lena?" I asked.

"Definitely," he said. "It will be good for Ann to get her mind off of it for a while." We both looked over to the wall where we could still hear Rin's loud excitement.

Smii7y fell down on the couch sleepily. I joined him and found a Twitch stream to watch. We watched quietly and both fell asleep to the sound of Rin babbling on the other side of the wall.
