They walk slowly through the door, an eerie silence surrounds them.

The wall to their right was full of holes, allowing the to see into the next room. They continued to walk through the abandoned house, rubble crunching beneath their boots.

As they kept walking, Schofield notices a small window at the end of the hallway, Alena walks to it, spotting Blake, "Anything?" He asked her.

"Nothing."

William made his way towards the door into the kitchen, he stops, staring at a broken china doll laying against the wall.

Alena felt her heart grow heavy, she couldn't imagine the horrors this doll had seen.

The pair enter the kitchen, light streaming in through the boarded up window.

They hear the floor boards creak behind them, Schofield spins around, rifle aimed. It's Blake, "Did you find any food?"

"No." Schofield pauses, before speaking again, "I don't like this place."

He makes his way out through the back door, Alena and Blake following him. They stand in the yard, watching the abandoned barn, searching for movement. There is none.

Alena steps over scattered debris, looking around, studying the area.

"I don't trust this place, Will." She says, looking to the older man, who was walking beside her.

"Something doesn't feel right." He said, looking to her.

As the keep searching, they hear a low sound, Alena spins around, trying to find the source of the noise.

A singular cow grazes in the field just behind the barn. Bodies of dead cows litter thee ground just beyond it.

Schofield turns, scanning the floor of the barn. He peers into a wooden milk urn. Nothing.

A small metal bucket sits on the ground, a lid sits half on top of it. Small black flies hover around it. Schofield goes over to it, kicking the lid off of it.

Milk.

Alena notices him kneel beside it, smelling the white liquid. He lowers his hand, collecting the liquid in his hand, before bringing it to his mouth, drinking.

He sighs, smiling slightly.

Alena goes to him, kneeling down to drink.

"Map says we get over that ridge and it's a straight shot to Ecoust."

Schofield and Alena look to him, "Good."

He takes his empty water canteen from his pack, pouring the milk into it, filling the canister.

The woman stands, looking out the opened barn door, to the field beyond. She notices the sound of airplane engines.

She feels something brush her arm, it's Schofield, standing beside her.
They stand, watching the planes.
