Schofield begins to rummage in Blake's pocket, finding the note from General Erinmore, he then removes the rings from Blake's fingers, while Alena removes his dogtag from around his neck.

Schofield brings out the map, but it is covered in blood, rendering it illegible. He throws it away.

He carefully tucks the letter in his pocket, closing the little flap.

Alena takes the photo of Blake's family, looking at it, she handed it to Schofield, who placed it over Blake's heart.

The sit in silence, tears rolling down Alena's cheeks, Schofield holding back his.

"We have to move him." Schofield says, breaking the silence. The woman looked to him, her eyes watering.

Blake was gone.

And there was nothing she could do.

They stand, the man moving to the boy's head, and the woman to his feet. They try to lift him, but cannot, the weight of the corpse unbearable.

"It's no use, Will." Alena said, still holding the boy's feet.

"We have to try, Alena." He hoisted Blake's torso, taking a step, before the weight became too much.

They stood there, looking at the body of their friend. He looked so peaceful.

"You two alright?" A voice came from behind them. They turned around, shocked to see someone else.

Two soldiers stood beside the corpse of the dead German.

They must have noticed the shock on Alena and Schofield's faces, "It's alright, it's okay." One of them reassured.

"Come on, help them." The first man spoke again.

The men moved forward, they each grab hold of one of Blake's legs, as Schofield takes hold of his upper body. They lift the boy to the long grass. Alena watches them.

"Jesus, what happened to him?" One of them asked.

Neither Schofield, nor Alena reply.

The other soldier asks, "Was it the plane? We saw the smoke."

At this, Schofield nodded, answering the men.

"Yes." Alena says, quietly, as she walks towards them.

She kneels beside Schofield, taking his hand in hers, a man approaches them, "Go fetch his things." He tells the other two soldiers.

They mumble a quick 'sir.' before leaving.

"A friend?" He asks them, they nod, their eyes not leaving Blake's body.

"What are you two doing here?" He asked them, "We have an urgent message for the 2nd Devons. Orders to stop tomorrow morning's attack." Schofield replied.
