I found myself in the stairwell again past midnight. But I didn't dare go outside the trap door. I sat down on the floor and looked at the sky.
"I thought I'd find you here."
Finnick's voice startled me.
"Hey."
He sits down beside me "What are you doing here at this time?"
"Trying to remember.. Even if its pointless."
"Why?"
I start to cry out of rage.
"Because. Duh. Everybody knows I never remember anything after I hit my head and I just learned about all this shit today and that's why I'm here trying to memorize the stars cause I probably wouldn't see the sky in the next five years because tomorrow, I will wake up and I wouldn't remember meeting you or coming here or that there is still actually a sky outside that goddamned prison---"
Finnick kisses me.
"Now were even."
"Finni---"
"Don't say anything Katniss. If you wake up tomorrow and you dont remember that I kissed you, then good. But if you do... That's even better.
Finnick left and I ended up falling asleep at the top of the stairwell.
I woke up the next morning.
I didn't forget.
I remembered everything.
Especially the kiss.
