Catalina and the whole National Team arrived at the party. In fact, they were in the cars waiting to get down from them and walk by the red carpet. She was nervous, so as her father. It was going to be the first time they would show themselves together in public.
'We're gonna walk down there' Joachim told her pointing outside the window and then, once we've entered the room, we're gonna watch the movie'
Catalina nodded.
'Just smile and be relax, I'll be by your side all the time'
A feeling of shelter grew inside her from this last sentence.Joachim opened the door and helped Catalina to get down of the car. They were the firsts, so the cameras and the flashes were only above them. Catalinas's eyes lost their axis and he felt her head go dizzy.
'I can't do this' She managed to whisper to her dad.
'It's ok, they won't hurt you, I'm here' he answered, holding her hand.
They started to walk, only posing for a couple of minutes. Catalina pulled down her short long-sleeve fawn lace dress and trust herself to walk in high-heels.
They both felt really relieved of getting into the place, even thought there were a few photographers inside.
The luxiorious room was full with chairs and a big screen in one side. They found their sits and waited for the rest of the team.
'Em...Hm....'Catalina started, she didn't know how to call her dad, and father wasn't in her dictionary at all 'Mister Low?'
Joachim looked at her surprised 'I think that kind of names were left behind time ago...' he exclaimed.
She chuckled nervously 'I'm a little bit hungry' she confessed.
The German laughed 'Ohh, yes, don't worry, by 9pm we will have finished with this and we'll be at the party, which is private of course'
The teenager sighed in relief.
'Two hours and I can get out of this. Only two hours and I would be able to eat' she thought. And if the food were like she imagined, all would be worth. The room was filled with the DFB players. As she was in the first row of seats, she couldn't see the boys.
The film started and she was already wanting to kill herself. The pictures showed were a sad memory for her, and although sometimes there were funny moments, melancholy kept hitting her.
After two hours, the team was called for some photo shoots. She had to admit that they looked very handsome in those black suits.
'How is my little girl?' someone approached her from behind, while the player's family were leading themselves to the ballroom.
Catalina turned around and saw Bastian with a smiley face.
'Hi' she said shyly. 'Fine, and you?'
'Very angry, if I may say' he told her. She looked at him frozen. 'I've been told you didn't want to put me in your list, I am disappointed, miss Low'
The daughter's coach broke in laughter. 'Maybe I have a special list for you?'
'And which would it be?' he felt curious.
'Hm... best-uncle-not-uncle list?'
'Oh...that was sensible haha' he answered 'I love you too, miss Low, now excuse me, that chocolate fountain is screaming out my name'
She toured the panorama with her eyes. There was a bar, two table full of food (one with salad food and the other one with cakes and desserts), a dance floor on the middle and some tables and chairs distributed around the room.
