Romans PoV
I stood there, shocked as I watched my brother and Deceit stomp up the stairs. I look at Patton, he looked at me with a sad and disappointed expression. "Patton I-I know that I screwed up, I know I lied. But it's because I thought he would be fine, that he was just sick. I really didn't want you to worry about him." I say taking a step towards him, he takes a step back "I-I'm going to go and check on him." Patton whispered walking around me to the stairs.

Remus' PoV
I watch as Deceit stroked Virgil's spider legs protectively. I look at him sadly as he started to tear up, "what's wrong?" I ask, warily putting my hand on his shoulder, making sure he wouldn't bite me. "How can someone so ignorant, so full of himself choose to let someone he used to love, be in so much pain?" He asks, looking up his snake eye glowing slightly in the dark room. "That's my brother for you. And I'm the evil twin." I chuckle going to put my hand on Virgil's arm again, but stopped remembering how protective Deceit is.

I go to open my mouth again, but get interrupted by someone knocking on the door. I look at Deceit who was glaring a hole in the door.

I get up, opening the door slightly seeing Patton with a worried expression. "Is he alright?" He asks urgently, before I could answer he pushed the door letting himself in, "rude." I mutter.

He looked at Virgil and paused, "V-Virgil?" Patton stutters. He rushed over to him, "no Patton, wait." Before I could stop him he was pulling Virgil into a hug, I look at Deceit nervously. He was hissing rather loudly and angrily, "Patton, I do recommend that you step back." He looks up, "why? My dark strange son is in pain. I'm not leaving him again." He says, holding Virgil closer. I look back at Deceit who looked about ready to bite Patton, "Patton. I'm warning you." I say carefully, that's when he saw the spider legs. He screamed practically throwing Virgil back onto his bed, that seemed to trigger Deceit who launched himself at Patton. Patton screamed again in surprise. "Deceit." I say walking towards him, he looks up with big eyes. "Cmon, get off of Patton. He wasn't trying to hurt Virgil." I say grabbing his hand and lifting him up. Deceit bury's his head into my chest apologising over and over again, "it's alright, my little protective snake."

I look at Patton who was shaking on the floor looking terrified for his life. "W-What j-just happened?" He asks trying his best not to cry. I chuckle, "Deceit got a bit protective over Virgil, it's not just you, he bit me the other day when Virgil passed out. So you can call yourself lucky." I chuckle letting go of Deceit who went and sat beside Virgil again, who looked like he was in pain again. I get an idea, "Thomas will listen to you. Right?" I ask, he nods "can you get him to stop taking them pills. If he doesn't soon Virgil is going to die, right now he's only reverted back to Paranoia. As well, if Thomas stops taking them Virgil will wake up." I add on, "so the other day, you didn't say it to sabotage us. You were actually trying to help him." Patton says, I nod "well yeah, he's like a brother to me. I'd do anything for him." I say smiling, "you should take him to Logan, he'd probably have a better idea on how to look after him." He says, I look at Deceit who was still glaring at Patton. "Maybe later." We both chuckle, "I'll see if I can get him to stop now." He says before inking our.

"He didn't mean any trouble." I say to Deceit, he sighs "I know, but it was an urge to attack. I couldn't resist." He says looking at Virgil, "I'll get Logan in a bit, you probably wouldn't let him in the room." I chuckle, Deceit hisses playfully.
