Let Me Go

The skies were dark and the clapping of thunder dominated them.
I cringed as I knocked on his door gently, kind of hesistant to enter.

"Come in." I heard his soft whisper.

I slipped through the door and gave him a weak smile. He was putting on his flight suit, staring at the mirror infront of him.

I walk over to him and we stand face to face.

"Do you have to go?"

He sighs and holds my waist, gazing into my eyes sadly.

"Astrid out of all the people, you should know better. I don't want to go through this again."

"But Hiccup-"

"Stop." Hiccup shushes me.

"I have to do this Astrid. Besides I have Toothless with me, I'l be safe."
He said, attempting to cheer me up as he placed a finger under my chin and lifted it up.

I give up trying to covince him, as I sighed in defeat.

He bent down to meet my lips. His kisses were always so soft and gentle. I relished the moment. He pulled away and embraced me.

We stayed there for awhile until I pulled away. "You should go..."

He sighed and smiled, kissed me on the cheek and left the room.

"Be safe..."
