I grab my towel as I finish my shower and wipe myself clean of any water droplets. My hair was up in a high bun to keep it from getting soaked from the water. I sigh, finishing up, and put on my night clothes. Which are just some underwear and a big t-shirt.
Leaving the bathroom, I go into my room and lay down on my bed, and then pick up my phone from the drawer next to my bed.
I furrow my brows in confusion seeing that I have a message. I sit up and smile down at my phone. He actually texted me. I couldn't help but feel giddy.

I completely freeze. Do I look presentable enough right now??
Shit.
I take my pillow from underneath me and cover my face with it... and then scream into it. I sit still for a while, calming my body down before picking my phone back up and taking a leap of faith.
And I call him.
I watch as the time begins to count up. At the two second mark, he picks up.
"I'm so happy I bumped into you this morning, you're so gorgeous." River grins making me blush.
That voice. He definitely has an accent and it's even more evident now. Jesus take the wheel.
"Stoppp," I whine, not knowing how to take his compliment.
I could hear him chuckling through the phone, "How was the rest of your day?"
"Um, it was kind of boring. Just went to the rest of my classes and came back to my apartment afterwards. What about you?"
"It was a bit hectic. We've been growing more rapidly recently, so there's triple the workload that we need to do. We're trying to get more employees to match the growth of the business right now, but it's been harder than I thought it would be "
