Chapter 30: To end the game

CELESTINE

Nakatingin lang ako sa mama ni Mr. Vaugh at saka kaagad na hinila ang kamay niya para magtago sa gilid nang mapansin kong meron nakatingin sa kanya. Ang papa ni Mr. Vaugh, "What did you do?" mahinang bulong ko sa mama ni Mr. Vaughn. 

"Ang sabi niya, sasaktan niya ang mga anak ko kung hindi ko yun gagawin. Kung hindi ako magrereport sa kanya araw-araw kung ano ang nangyayari." 

"Sino?" 

"Si Agnes." Damn it. That bitch. 

"Nasaan siya ngayon?" Umiling siya at saka tumingin sa gilid. Mr. Vaughn's parents are visually old. You can tell it by just looking at their faces. She has a wrinkle and she keeps on bowing her head down every time we talk to her. Including Mr. Vaughn's dad. 

op"Hindi ko alam... nung huli ko siyang makausap, ang sabi niya nandito siya." 

"Wala siya dito," I replied.

 "Yan ang sinabi niya sa akin. May nakita akong apat na lalaki sa labas nung araw, pinapasok ko sila dito at dinala sa attic para hindi makita ni Agnes kasi nandito siya." Binitawan ko ang braso niya bago ako umalis sa tabi niya at saka hinawakan ang hawakan ng hagdanan sa attic. 

"Huwag kang umalis diyan or else something bad will happen." I warned to her before I pull the ladder. Pinasok ko sa bulsa ang baril ko at nagsimula nang umakyat papunta sa attic. I open the door as soon as I reach it.

There was a mini sala in the attic. I put that because before, I usually stay here when dad's away. For me, this attic is my most secure place in this house. The lights are on so I held my gun and look around. "Grabe ka no. Pinagkakatiwalaan ka pa naman namin tas tatraydorin mo lang kami?" I heard Damon's voice in the earbud. 

"Well...." 

I was about to shoot someone when I heard a step when someone grabs my wrist turning it around for me to drop the gun. I tried to hold the gun as hard as I could. I couldn't lose it. Tumingin ako sa gumawa nun sakin and we both stopped when he see me. 

"Shit! Sorry. Celestine! akala ko kung sino." It was Lopez. 

He gently let go of my wrist so I hid my gun on my gun pocket. "Where are the others—" I haven't finished my sentence when I heard steps coming to our direction. I sighed in relief when I saw Ian, Luigi, and Ace. 

"Tine!" I smiled when Ace run to my direction and hugged me tightly. Bullshit, we wasted our one week searching for them anywhere when they are just here hiding. 

"Where's Agnes?" I asked. 

"Hindi ko alam," he replied after he broke the hug and sighed. 

"Let's go down. Maraming nangyayari sa baba." Tumango naman sila sa sinabi ko and prepare their rifle. "Celestine." My shift landed on Ian. 

"Yes?" 

"Thank you." Napakunot noo ako sa sinabi nito at saka ngumiti. 

"For what?" 

"For saving us." He's holding his stomach so I take a look at it and my eyes widened. He have a wound! GDI! "FUCK! Are you alright!?" Lumapit ako sa kanya at saka pinulupot ang braso niya sa balikat ko. 

"Yes.. thank you again." 

"Stop saying thank you, like you'll die too soon." I rolled my eyes. I waited for the other to went downstairs as I also headed down, carefully approach Ian who is in pain. He needs to get treated asap! 

"I can do it..." 

"You obviously can't." Luigi approached me when we headed down as I hold his hand after he handed it and when we successfully did it. I let Ace hold Ian as I run to the place where I left Mr. Vaughn's mother. I am praying in my mind that she's there and there's nothing happening, and I guess God heard my prayers.
