Katsuki's p.o.v

After the day was over and done with I walked with Ei down to his room. Even though he worked for me, he was still in his room downstairs. I offered for him to sleep in my room but he declined saying the king would have a fit if he found out about it esspcially since I'm supposed to 'turn him straight' like me. Except I'm not straight; quite the opposite in fact. But he didn't know that and I don't think he ever will. Walking with Eijirou to his room, he opens the door and wishes me a goodnight. "Wake me up at six." I whispered to him, guards walking around for castle patrol at night. "Why six? Don't you have to get up at seven? I'm supposed to follow those orders." He whispered in a hushed tone. "And you must follow my orders as well. Come to my room at six in the morning. I'm taking you somewhere special." I whispered. He only nodded and closed his door behind him with a smile. Making it back to my room, I fell asleep at nine and slept until I was woken up at six.

"Katsuki, it's time to wake up. It's six in the morning." His soft voice rung through the room. I sat up groggily and rubbed my eyes. I nodded gently and rolled out of bed to my bathroom. "Can you get me some clothes?" I asked, yawning and stretching. I heard him dig through my closet and then close the doors. Holding out a pair of black jeans and a ruby red button up, I grabbed them from him and slipped the clothes on. "Why did you want me to get you this early?" He asked, hands twiddling. I grabbed my black boots and slipped them on. "Well, I'm bringing you to this place I found in the forest. My parents leave at seven and they never check on me. I'll leave a note for Yagi to see. We should be back by nine so I can...it doesn't matter. Let's just have fun." I smiled, trying to forget about the end of this week. I really didn't want to think about it. He simple nodded, following me. I looked through my balcony window to check if th guards were nearby. They don't start outside guard until seven when my parents leave. We don't have alot of time. "Let's go!" I whisper shouted to him, opening my door. He followed behind me downstairs to the kitchen. "This is where you come in. Go to the kitchen and grab one of the baskets. It has breakfast in it."

"Are you crazy?!" He asked, shaking his head. "They would kill me if they saw me in there." He said, walking over to the door. "They would. If there were people in there. The kitchen staff if out and getting the carriage ready for my parents. They always eat breakfast out. We never have it in the dining hall and they wont notice one missing basket. Now hurry before they come back and take them all." I assured him. He walked in, and came back out within seconds. "I'll carry this. You lead the way." He said, basket in hands. I nodded, snuck out through the back entry way and we ran off into the forest. It didnt take long to find the spot I had liked so much. I hadn't brought anyone out here before so it was actually nice to have the company. "What's so special about this place? It looks like the rest of the forest." He said, looking around for any significance. "That's what you think. Look." I said, pointing to a birds nest in a nearby tree. "Lots of wildlife comes around here. They like the wold raspberries that grow a few feet away."

We walked a little farther to the little family of bunnies. "They're so cute!" He exclaimed quietly, careful not to disturb them. They ran off only moments later when they noticed us. "Well, I'm hungry. Let's eat." He said, setting the basket on a clearing in the grass. The sun had come up a few minutes ago and it had just been shining through the bottom of the trees. He took out the food, toast, strawberry jam and bagels with cream cheese. There was also a small canister of milk. "Bagel or bread?" I asked, grabbing a peice of toast and smearing jam on it. "I'll take a bagel. What's in the canister?" He asked, taking a bite, cream cheese covering his lips. "Milk. We can share." I said, half of my toast already devoured. He opened it and took a sip. "The food at the kingdom tastes better than anything I've had." He said, bagel finished. "Maybe it's just fresher ingredients or something." I stated, taking the milk from him and drinking some. He grabbed another bagel. We sat there in silence for a while, enjoying each others company. We didn't even have to talk to have a good time. "Why did you bring me out here?" He asked, closing the basket and putting it away. "I figured you'd like the scenery. And I like being around you. You're one of the only people I can bare to stand in the castle staff." I said honestly, standing up and grabbing his hand. He accepted it and got up. "Well, what do you think about exploring further Kats?" He asked me, running off without hearing my reply. "A game of tag?" I asked, chasing after him. He screamed like a little kid and started zig zagging around through the trees and bushes jumping over fallen logs. I chased after him, running faster and faster, slowly running out if breath. He tripped over a fallen tree branch and fell to the ground with a thud. I leaped onto of him and laid above him. "Gotcha!" I smiled in victory. He started giggling crazily and then his face turned pale.

"What's wrong?" I asked, climbing off of him. "It's nine thirty." He said, standing to grab my hand. "He's going to kill me. He will be waiting for you. You have a busy schedule. I'm going to die." He started running out of the forest, leaving the basket behind. We made it back to the castle in minutes and crept back through the back entry way. "I need to walk you there." He insisted, dragging me to the ballroom. He must have talked to Yagi beforehand to know that's where I should be. We made it inside and he closed the doors behind me. "You're late. I expect a good excuse." The king said in a bittersweet manner. "I'm sorry sir I-" he started but I cut him off. "I insisted we go hunting. It's a manly sport and figured it would help him with his ways." I threw back a scowl at him but winked. I hoped he got  the hint. The king looked satisfied with the excuse and said nothing more to Ei. "Anyways Katsuki. You shall be engaged by Friday of this week at the ball and what better way to he prepared than to meet some of your options." I hated that he referred to the girls as options. Like they weren't even people but pawns in a game. "This girl right here is lovely. I've talked to her parents already." He moved aside to show me the girl, maybe fifteen but it was hard to tell. I simply nodded and bowed slightly knowing I would get an earful later if I didn't. She didnt react in the way I expected; she just silently nodded back with no expression. She seemed to want this marriage as much as I did. And I didn't want to get married in the first place. Then my father said something that made me want to vomit.

"This is your bride."
