Heaven wasn't anything like I thought it would be. It didn't have pearly gates and it wasn't all white and angels flying around. It was perfect. It was your own heaven. Whatever you wanted it to be, it was. So of course, I found myself stood outside my childhood home in Lawerence, Kansas.

The house stood tall infront of me. The paint was still light blue, and it was perfectly done. The white picket fence was surrounding the huge garden with newly cut grass. Nervously, I opened the gate and made my way up the pebble pathway.

I quietly knocked on the door, but then realized that this is my house, so I walked straight in.

Everything was like I remembered it, but better. It felt like home. Mums perfume lingered around the hallway. Dads muddy football boots in a plastic bag by the front door.

I awkwardly walked into the kitchen, and everything was exactly the same. Mum had prepared dinner for later. The dishes were all piled up in certain places. The sweet cupboard was locked so me and Sam couldn't eat them. But then I made my way upstairs. Into the bedrooms.

A tear rolled down my face. "I'm home now." I quietly whispered.

"Dean? Is that you?" A gentle voice said from behind me. I turned around and the most beautiful women I had ever seen stood there looking at me with her mouth wide open.

"Oh my baby!" She said, pulling me into a hug. She rested her head on my shoulders, and I could feel her tears damping my shirt. "I am so glad to see you." She repeated over and over again. "Oh God, look how much you've changed! You're so grown up and big and beautiful and oh my God I love you so so so much." She pulled me back into a hug.

"You're just as I remembered you." I said, earning a frown. "Beautiful." We continued hugging. "I've missed you so much, Mum."

"Come on, I think there's people you need to see." My heart jumped as she said that sentence.

We made our way down the stairs and into the living room, where 2 men were angrily shouting at the tv.

"Boys." My mum said. "There's something you should see."

"Yeah." My dad screaming. "This stupid soccer team actually score a goal!"

"No, this is better."

They both just ignored her.

"Come on, I mean that's no way to treat your wife." I said. And then the only sound that filled the room was the tv. Sam slowly turned around and broke into tears as soon as he saw me. And Dad just didn't know what to do, so he kind of just stared.

I ran over to Sam and he jumped up and hugged me. "Dean I've missed you so much man." It was just continuous crying. And then my Mum and Dad joined in with the hug.
"This is amazing, I couldn't ask for a better family."

An hour later, we were all sat on the sofa watching the game and eating dinner, when someone walked through the front door."

"Sorry I'm back late guys. There was this meeting at work and it run over and then the traffic was really bad on the way back." The voice called.

My body froze when I realized who it was. Slowly, I stood up. My legs were shaking underneath me. I could feel my heart beating and I felt like I was going to puke. My head was dizzy and my body was numb. Fuck love.

And then, he walked around the corner. His body froze too. He was holding a bunch of folders in his hands, but I could still see he was shaking. He tried to speak but he didn't know what to say. So he just shut his mouth. But eventually, he managed to splutter a shaky "hey."

"Hi."

"Dean?"

"Yeah."

He smiled.

"Is it really you?" He chuckled.

"Yeah." I grinned at him.

He threw his folders to the floor and ran towards me. His legs wrapped around my waist and I spun around with him in my arms.

Nothing else mattered in that moment. All I ever dreamed of was all within 4 walls. My heart felt like the sun colliding with the moon and my legs were shaky and I couldn't see anything apart from the most beautiful person wrapped around my body and his warm breath on my neck.

I'm happy.

I'm finally happy.
