"Oh please, my Dad will burn him to crisp before he gets there," Nashi retorted.

"Someone start it before they start a fight," Eugene sighed. Emma chuckled but granted his wish.

Lucy and Happy gasped.

Gray: The truth is, Ur's still alive.

Erza: What do you mean?

Gray was silent for a moment.

Gray: It's been ten years

The scene changed to a burning town, with Deliora viciously rampaging through it.

Gray: (narrating) Deliora attacked my hometown. I've never seen such destruction.

"Whoa..." Sylvia gasped quietly. Rin scooted closer to her.

"I think Uncle Natsu could rival that," Reiki quipped, but no one responded to him.

Gray: (narrating) The whole place was wiped out in less than a day.

The skies cleared up. Ur and young Lyon walked through the ruined town, looking at the extensive damage.

Ur: I've heard of Deliora's destructive power, but I never expected this.

She noticed young Gray laying on the ground, half-covered with rubble and groaning in pain.

"Oh, Mavis..." Storm said, frowning.

"Is that... Dad?" Rin asked.

Ur: Lyon! Get over here! We've got a survivor!

Lyon immediately turned and rushed over.

Lyon: Hey! Are you all right?

Young Gray slowly opened his eyes to see them.

Gray: Ur and Lyon found me. They pulled me from the rubble.

"Have you guys already heard this story?" Rosemary asked Storm.

"Bits and pieces," he replied. "But it's different seeing it like this."

The twins nodded in agreement.

The scene changed to a field full of graves with makeshift markers. Gray set some wildflowers at one of them.

Young Gray: Deliora, you're gonna pay for this. I'll stop you, I swear it.

Ur and Lyon stood a short distance away, watching him cry. Ur watched him, her face carefully blank and understanding.

Gray: (narrating) That vow... is how it all began.

"This is so sad-kina!" Cubi cried, frowning.

"Hopefully, there's more to it than just this," Eugene said quietly. "It isn't that pretty."

"Neither is life," Gale added.
