Rai walks through the streets of Atlas alone wearing all black besides her mask of blue and white.
She looks up at the tall building and goes and hides behind a pillar watching the students passing in groups. Rai looks around and she takes off her bow and disassembles it to get to the swords.
Then she jumps up onto the building as an alarm goes off and she begins to scale it. She uses her pennant to unlock the window and she slips inside putting her swords into her sleeves. She jumps into the room and goes into the hallway. She makes her way towards the generals office and she hides behind a pillar in the shadows. "Are you there yet?" "Yes." Rai says without emotion "capture the boy in the green jacket you'll recognize him by the lamp he has.
Come to the meeting point do not get distracted." "Yes cinder" Rai says and she looks around the corner her blue eyes search the foyer as she sees them rush out fighting four others.
She smirks as the others are engaged in fight and she runs towards the boy in the green jacket taking out her swords and combining it into one.
She begins to fight him full on. "Hey who are you?!" Rai doesn't answer she just keeps fighting.
She takes him down the hallway away from the others. He calls out to his allies "uh guys a little help here!" Rai knocks him down and turns to dodge several attacks using her bending and swords she turns not seeing him she begins to run after him. "Hey!" She ignores them and continues after him.
She flattens him on the ground and begins to tie him up. "You don't have to do this" Rai doesn't answer she just pulls him up and begins to walk towards the meeting point after taking the lamp and putting it into her bag. "Please I can help you" Rai doesn't stop her steps only slow slightly.
She stops as he turns suddenly his eyes Rai takes a step back and takes out her sword. "You are Freya's granddaughter" Rai doesn't answer. "What are you doing girl get him here NOW!" Rai flinches and she hears the man say "why are you doing this?"
Rai doesn't answer and he hits her in the head with his cane she stumbles back dodging the next swipe she spins kicking towards him as he pulls her arm back and takes off the mask. He feels her pulse and looks at her eyes and his eyes widen. "Vitura" he mutters and Rai doesn't speak. He turns her around and says you have to fight this burn it out of your system you have to Rai ...Rai! He clenches her shoulders and
Rai blinks and looks around "where am I?" "Listen to me you have to get this drug out - "girl! You better get in here!" Rai flinches as a shock rips through her body and she collapses holding her side.
The boy kneels next to her and he says "Rai you have to fight." "Hold my hands." "Look into my eyes and focus" Rai goes to her knees and she takes a deep breath then she screams as she painfully burns through a drug that is clouding her mind she begins to shake and convulse as she fights for her will another shock tears through her as Cinder realizes she's lost control of her pawn.
The boy rips the shock bracelet off of Rai and Rai collapses. Rai blinks and holds her head.
She looks at the boy that has the voice of a man. "Did I harm you?" "No child." He helps her to her feet and then he bends down and picks up the mask she was wearing. Rai looks around.
Then he says take my hand. Rai takes his hand and they begin to run through the hall.
Rai looks around as she recognizes Neo and she dodges and blocks the attacks from the others until the boy says "don't!" "Oscar!" "She was attacking you!" "She was being controlled but she's not now" Rai rips the communicator from her ear and drops it before smashing it. Neo tilts her head and then her eyes widen.
Rai looks at the silent girl. And the she draws her sword as she comes for Rai as she has the lamp. "Go!" Oscar says as the others come forward to take her place.
Oscar catches up with her and he says follow me. Rai follows him to a vault of some sort. "What is this place?" "It's the vault of the winter maiden" "my grandmother." "Yes." "What's that?" "It is the staff of creation." Rai turns as she hears an alarm and she takes out the lamp. "This might be the last time I see her." "Go" Rai runs silent and fast and fights her way towards the already broken into vault she makes it to where a robot Winter and Cinder are fighting.
Rai sees the giant ice structure and she puts her hand on it and bends herself in. "Grandmother!" Rai takes off her mask and hugs her grandmother. "Rai..." she touches Rai's face. "You are so...beautiful" "your farther would be ...proud"
Rai hugs her grandmother close. "You're not going anywhere I can heal you I-" "don't ...it is time now" "no! "Grandmother I'll take you home and you'll get better" "child ...I will always be with you"
Rai hugs her grandmother close and then suddenly she feels an incredible warmth. "I will always love you" Rai opens her eyes and continues to embrace her and she hears a scream "she's mine!" Rai turns slightly and begins to surround them with fire and water protectively until- "Rai!" "Rai!" "It's over!" "Rai!"
Rai slowly drops the fire and water shield and she turns her glowing blue eyes to Winter. "I'm sorry" don't be...Rai gets to her feet after laying her grandmother down.
She goes over to Winter and begins to pull water from around them and she says it's ok I have healing abilities. She puts the water on Winters side and begins to heal her. "YOU!" Rai turns and she stands up blocking the attack with a fire attack. "You betrayed me!" "I was never yours" Rai hisses Cinder growls again and then Rai's eyes widen and she falls to her knees as a bright light comes from nowhere. "Rai?" "Rai are you alright?" Rai blinks slowly "Rai that's your name isn't it?" Rai's eyes widen and she stares at the robotic girl.
Rai nods silently and turns back to Winter
"I..I can heal you..."easy" Winter says.
Rai stands up and begins the process of healing again. Winter grabs Rai's hand. "You need to go" "but I" "ill be fine ...you're better off with them" Rai turns and the other girl with white hair says "Winter who is she?" "She's the winter maiden now." "You'll be safer away from here." Rai stands up and she goes over to her grandmothers body and she says a little prayer before closing her eyes. "I'll take care of her body" Winter says. Rai nods and steps into the air ship after picking up her mask. She goes and sits in the back and the others don't speak to her. Rai looks down at her hands as the airship takes off and the others speak quietly.
