-X- 21. Kickass Kangaroos -X-

"Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up..." My sleep was broken by Aaron's jumping on the bed cum shouting. I rubbed my eyes and said groggily, annoyed by the amount of chirpiness in his voice. "What happened Aar? Why are you waking me up so early?". I stretched my body, making a few bones in my body ring.

"Wake up mommy, dad said we are going to the zoo to see some kickass kangaroos," He said, still jumping on the bed. "Ohkay baba... I am getting up." I said and shut my eyes again.

SPLASH, water was thrown over my sleeping self. My eyes opened up wide and I jumped off the bed. At the other side, Paul was standing with an empty glass and Aaron by his side.

"I told you to get up mommy," Aaron said snickering at me. I glared at Paul, while he just smirked at me. "People, this is not funny." I said crossing my arms and moving to the bathroom for a towel.

I took the towel hanging on the rack and started wiping my hair. Staring at mirror into nothing. My mind went back to my father's words...

You've been fighting with yourself. Fighting a fight which will end up harming you. Your brain has been conflicting with itself.

I still didn't understand the meaning of these words. What fight was Daddy talking about? And how could I be fighting with myself? The words seemed to have come from somewhere with stranger tides.

"Mommy be quick! We have to go and see the kickass Kangaroos..." Aaron's voice interrupted my thoughts. I turned at him standing at the door and said politely, "Could you repeat what you just said."

"I said, Mommy be quick! We have to go and see the kickass Kangaroos" He repeated raising his voice.

"Who taught you the word kickass Aaron?" I asked raising a brow. "Daddy said that word." He replied. Paul you imprudent personality trying to corrupt my innocent child's mind, I ate up those words with grave difficulty, all because I didn't want to flash my colorful vocabulary to Aaron.

"Go and watch television, I'll be ready in ten minutes. And tell dad to order room service for breakfast." I said holding the bathroom door to close it.

Soon I was under the shower, my already wet hair safe under the shower cap. Turning the shower off, I slid the scented soap over my bare self, trying to get rid of the ever-reproducing germs. I turned the shower up and washed myself, the lathered water flowed down the drain. Getting out of the shower I dried myself and wore a fresh pair of blue denim shorts and a plain white top.

With that I moved out of the bathroom. "Oi Lou what are you wearing?" Paul questioned me. "Clothes," I said popping my eyes out of my skull. "Not that." He facepalmed. "I meant being my fiance, you should be wearing something nice." He pointed at my clothes.

"I am not your fiance, and even if I were I would be dressed exactly like this." I gestured to myself and moved to Aaron.

"Hey Aar, how's the food?" I proceeded to sit besides him. "This sun is delicious," He pointed to the sunny side up egg putting another piece of it into his mouth. I took out my plate and started to gobble down my sunny side up egg.

After finishing eating our food we set out for Taronga zoo. It was a little far from the hotel.

"Yayyy! we are here." Aaron jumped out of the car as we reached the zoo. He was really excited today, the energy was radiating bright from his eyes.

The zoo was quite big and I knew it would take us whole day to tour around this place. "Mommy what is that?" Aaron asked pointing to the animal with an extra long neck. "That my son is a giraffe."
