You grab Shizukus hand and climb of the windows of a building to get to the roof. You turn to her. "It's about 3 o'clock right now. I've got a lot to show you." She nods, and the two of you head to the center of the city. You stop on the top of a building the gives you a good view of the park. "Look." You point to a guy proposing to a girl. "There's a guy proposing marriage. Let's see what happens." You see the girl cover her hand with her mouth and scream "Yes!" The two of them share a warm embrace. You turn to Shizuku. "That's called happiness. Those two are happy because they're going to get married." Shizuku stares at you, puzzled. "But what's there to be happy about?" You sigh. "I think it's because they both care about each other. They make each other happy. So they're going to spend the rest of their lives together. And that makes them even happier." Shizuku shrugs. "That sounds stupid. Hey, what makes you happy?"Your eyes widen, surprised. "M- me? Um, nothing really. Except... I do have a few happy memories with you. Anyways, let's go." You grab her hand and take her deeper into the city. You stop over a building when you hear a couple arguing. "I'm done with this relationship! I'm leaving!" You watch as a girl storms out of the building, and you hear a guy sobbing. You turn to Shizuku. "That's sadness. The man is sad because he cares about the girl, who left." Shizuku looks puzzled. "What's sadness?" You snort. "Being sad feels like... a part of you is being torn off of you. Like you lost a very important part of you." You suddenly break down into tears. "Shizuku, I don't know much about emotions. I'm such a mess. But... I don't ever wanna lose you. We have so many memories together." Shizuku wipes you tears away. "Don't be sad. I won't die." You sigh. "That's not what I mean... but yeah. I trust you to always be around. Ok, I have one last thing to show you." You take her around the city and find a tall apartment building to climb on. You and Shizu get to the top just as the sun starts to set.
"I like to come up here when I'm feeling down and look at horizon. It's just... calming." Shizuku nods. "It is quite pretty." You smile. "See, we're making some improvements. All right, let's head back now." When the two of you reach the bottom, you are surrounded by a group of people. You realize that they're Hunters. You scowl. "What the hell do you want? It's a homeless guy and a girl. You gonna bully us for money?" The one that seems to be the leader smirks. "Nice try. Someone's paying us good money to go find you and bring you back." You sigh. "Tell my mother to leave me alone. This is my choice." The Hunter smirks. "Not a chance. I want my money." You whisper to Shizuku. "On my signal, jump onto the roof of the building." She nods. You turn to the Hunter. "I didn't wanna do this. Actually, I kinda did. But it's not my fault that you guys just want to DIE!" You slam your hands onto the floor and a thick fog spreads throughout the street. You look up to see Shizuku on top of a building.
You smile as you hear the Hunters screaming around you. You smirk. "Have a taste of death you shit heads." Suddenly, you hear someone shooting a gun randomly out of madness. You run towards the sound to kill the Hunter but are shot in the stomach. You grunt and then fall to the ground. The fog wears off and the Hunters are dead, but you're losing blood, and fast. Shizuku hops down and looks at you, with what seems to be concern in her face. She sees your wound and screams in anger. You smile. "At least I know... that she cares about me." Then you lose consciousness.
