You grunt. "How could this happen.." You shake your head. "DAMN!" Shizu pats you on the shoulder. "Hey. We need to approach this calmly. The boss wouldn't want you losing control right now, ok?" Machi nods. "She's right. Besides, we can confirm it was the Chain Dude. He left a message over there." She gestures towards a wall, where Nobunaga is reading a note. After a couple minutes, the lights turn on and Feitan, Phinks, and Shalnark arrive. You give them a nod when they arrive, too preoccupied by your thoughts. "Damn.. First Frost, now this... This is so damn shitty!"

When Frost was 10, he had already mastered Nen and was considered the pride of the household. It's not like he looked down on you before, but you always felt pressured by him. "Still.." you think to yourself, "I don't know if I can beat him in a fight... This'll be tough." You try to think of various strategies but it ends up tiring the hell out of you and you fall asleep standing up (that's actually hella impressive) until Shizu taps you on the shoulder, waking you up. "Hey, you alright? We're going now." You nod, rubbing your eyes. "Yeah, sorry. What happened while I was asleep?"

"The Chain Dude called. He's taking Paku and our hostages (she points to the kids) in exchange for the boss. We're going to return to base and wait for him to call again." You sigh, stressed out and just not feeling it. The anxiety from Frost showing up gives you a horrible stomach pain, and Chrollo being taken almost pushes you over the edge. You want to tell Shizu that you in fact are not alright but you can't really do anything besides trying to resist the growing urge to throw up. Shizu seems to read your mind. "y/n... what's wrong? It's obvious that something's bothering you." You turn your head away from her, unable to speak because of the pain in your stomach. Besides, you don't plan on telling the others anyways. "I can't drag anyone else into my family's problems." You think to yourself. "Especially the people I care about the most." Did someone do something? Was it Shalnark? I know he's always a pain in the ass." You shake your head and suddenly the urge to throw up is overwhelming. You sprint into a nearby alleyway and (um) get it all out.

Shizu runs over to you as you kneel on the ground, coughing the last of it up. She doesn't say anything but pats you on the back and shooes away the others. "It'll be ok, you guys go on ahead. I'll make sure he gets there alright." They nod, and soon the two of you are left alone. You keep your head down, too embarrassed to look back up at Shizu. She sighs. "Y/n, I'm worried about you. You shouldn't keep something that's bad enough to make you throw up to yourself! We can talk about it!"

You shake your head. "I can't."

"Why not?! You can talk to me about anything!" You hear her voice start to waver, as if she's about to cry. "What- What could be so important that you can't even talk about it with me?" You feel a tear drop onto your shoulder, and then another, and soon tears are streaming down uncontrollably. "I thought we could trust each other! You're the one who taught me about emotions like trust and love so why can't you trust me?!" You turn around and face her with your messy face and tears threatening to escape your eyes. "Because I want to protect you! Yes, you're one of the strongest people I know, but I love you! That's why I don't want to drag you into my personal problems!"

"But you have to think about me! I don't want to see you suffering either ok?" At this point, the both of you are bawling tears left and right. "If you love someone, you'll try your best to make them happy! Isn't that what you told me? So just let me help you, ok?!" You just sit there for a while, touched. This is probably the first time Shizu had ever said anything like that in her life. You sniffle, and wipe your face with your sleeve (ew). Then you look Shizu in the eyes, still red and puffy from crying. "Ok."
