"Alright so this is what you have to do when you want to re-enter your bodies. I'll teach you how to separate when we go back to the spirit realm tomorrow for more training," Sigmund says as he's lifting his body in front of him. We watch as he looks himself straight in the eyes and strengthens his aura and slaps himself in the face. All of a sudden, Angel Sigmund disappears and he starts talking to us in human form, "It's that easy just concentrate your aura into the slap and you'll re-merge with your body. Don't be afraid, you won't feel it when you wake up."

I lift my body up, "Dang I'm heavy," I say struggling to lift myself up.

"I'll help you two the first time but after this you have to become strong enough to do this on your own," Sigmund says as he lifts my body first. I start trying to channel my aura into my hand but I can only get a little bit to focus. "Don't try to force it," Sigmund coaches, "if you force it, it will never happen." I start relaxing and all of a sudden I feel a larger heat start forming in my hand. "Muerta don't hesitate, if it makes it easier to think about hitting someone you hate." I start thinking about Liam and how he's manipulated us. All of a sudden, I hear "Now." I just reach out and slap myself across the face as hard as I can. As soon as I did I see a flash of light and notice I'm no longer looking at myself from the outside. I can still see Isa in angel form.

"Are you going to join us Isa?" I ask laughing as Sigmund holds her body up next.

"I don't think I can do this," I hear her say shyly.

"Oh you Angels of Life are such pansies, I knew this was gonna be a problem," I hear Sigmund say impatiently.

"Don't talk about my sister like that, she's always been the pacifist in the family," I quickly say, defending her.

"Thanks Maria, but he's right I have to buck up or shut up. I can't be this weak and depend on you to defend me my whole life," I hear her say as her hands start to turn ice blue.

"Good, just a little bit more. Muerta can you help her some more, angels of her type strengthen their aura the nicer you are to them. The more joy they feel the more power they can focus," Sigmund states, "It's different with us angels of death the more anger we feel the more concentrated our auras become."

"Isa you're doing well, you don't need mom and me, you are stronger on your own. I am the one holding you back. You have always been the strongest one in our family, and I've always admired the strength you have had to smile through everything, even when you didn't feel like it," I confess. All of a sudden, I see a flash of ice blue cross Isa's face and then there she is. Standing there beside me in her own body giving me a hug.

"Maria did you mean what you said?" Isa asks, quietly.

"Maybe, I was just trying to help and something told me that is what you needed to hear. I had to come up with something quick or you woulda been trapped in the Spirit Realm," I said looking at the floor. I don't know how I knew she would be trapped but something inside me told me.

"I understand you were just protecting me again," Isa says, holding back tears.

"Isa, she cares, she just doesn't know how to explain that to you but she does," Sigmund says trying to help me out. We all walk out of the closet and I look at the clock just as it strikes twelve-thirty. We walk over to the bar and Sigmund sits down and orders three drinks. "Sit down right there," he instructs us.

"How are you ordering alcohol looking like a twenty-year-old?" I asked puzzled. As I ask him the barkeep brings out the drinks and sets them in front of the three of us.

"Sir we're only seventeen, we can't drink yet," I hear Isa tell the bartender.

"Yes you can, as angels we can consume alcohol at a much faster rate than normal humans and be completely fine afterwards. Also this barkeeper is an old angel friend of mine. He understands that while we are in the Spirit World time progresses faster than it does on earth. For every half hour of earth time that we spend in the Spirit Realm we age 1 year in the Spirit Realm. And in light of that fact happy twentieth birthday girls now drink up." I pick up the drink and take a sip, I start smiling.

"It tastes like orange juice, isn't there alcohol in this?" I ask. A few seconds later, I feel a slight bitterness in taste.

"Sloe Gin and orange juice heaven's greatest combination," Sigmund says laughing. I turn and see Isa looking at her glass unsure of whether or not she wants to take a drink. "Isa don't be a pansy it's not like it's going to hurt you like I said earlier, you have the blood of an angel so alcohol will not stay in your system for more than 5 minutes tops," Sigmund explains again. Isa takes a sip of the drink and immediately chokes.

"That's really strong," she gags, "Maria we told Zita we wouldn't drink." Isa takes another sip getting used to the taste.

"Isa we did tell Zita that but that's before we realized it wouldn't affect us like normal humans. That's before we found out that we didn't respond to alcohol. What Zita doesn't know won't hurt her,' I say definitely.

"And that Maria is why you are an Angel of Death like me, you are defiant, Isa is an Angel of Life, because she is obedient and compliant," Sigmund explains.

"So our choices have defined our fates in other words?" I inquire, I look over at Sigmund and wonder what choices he made that would make him fall into this fate. "Bartender can I have another one?" I ask nicely.

"Maria I promised him I would only let you have one for right now. If he gets seen allowing a little girl to drink he could lose his liquor license. Also I agree with Isa you did make a promise," Sigmund reminds me.

"Thanks Sigmund, I never thought you would be helping me with this," Isa says.

"I'm not helping you, we just have to get you back home. It's forty-five minutes after midnight, and Zita's probably worrying about you," He says smiling, "Do you think that she would let me stay too? Since you can't control your powers, I need to accompany you, until you learn to control them."

"She shouldn't have a problem with it, but you need a cover story. She won't believe the whole angel powers thing," I say concerned.

"Well I'm a friend that you knew from school right, I heard the lie you told her to get out of her house. I graduated a couple years before you, during my time in highschool we bonded and became good friends. After your mom died I got ahold of you to talk about sudden unexplainable deaths and now here we are. "Now to figure out how I became homeless."

"Your parents died in a car accident when you were younger and your little sister was killed in the same accident," Isa suggested, "Zita is into sob stories and she has a soft spot for orphans, and you're a couple years older than us so it should explain why you were attracted to us like family." We walk out of the door into the cold of the night, but we don't feel cold. We look at the bank clock and it says it's fifty-five degrees outside. I'm not wearing a jacket and I don't feel cold right now. "Why am I not cold anymore?" Isa asks, freaked out.

"You've awakened your auras so its heat is radiating through you now keeping you warm. The colder you feel the more heat will radiate from you," Sigmund explains. I realize after he tells us this that we know absolutely nothing about the true powers we now possess.

I ask Isa telepathically, "Are you as freaked out by this as I am right now?" "There is so much that we don't know about our new lives." "Are you sure we can do this?"

"We can do this, we were hoping something exciting would happen in our lives right. Well, here it is and we should embrace this to the fullest," I hear her respond.

"Guys no fair quit using your telepathic connection to talk without me hearing you, don't think I can't tell when you two are doing that," I hear Sigmund complain.

"Sorry Sig do you think we're talking about you because we aren't, we are just a little scared okay," I explain.

"There is just so much about our new lives that we don't understand and that frightens us to no end," Isa says holding back tears.

"To be honest there is nothing to be scared of that's why Raphael and I are here to help you and guide you on the proper paths. If we don't then your mother's death would've been for nothing. I would have killed an innocent person for nothing. I may be the Angel of Death but I am not heartless," He says calmly.

We start walking back to Zita's house with Sigmund in tow. In about five minutes we get to her house and walk in the door. "Zita we're home," I yell,"We brought Sigmund home. Do you have a place for him to sleep?"

"He can sleep on the couch, we'll talk more in the morning." I hear her yell back. We all head to our rooms, Sigmund takes off his shirt and lays down. I make it to my room and lay down and fall asleep.
