Muerta's POV

"What does Lucifer want with us? I didn't expect to meet with the Lord of Hell on my first trip here," I said as I followed Sigmund to Lucifer's chambers.

"I don't know, he might know that you are a new recruit and just wants to get to know you. You don't have to be afraid of Lucifer; he might be a little harsh at times. Trust me I think you will be just fine," Sigmund says, smirking.

"I see that smirk, you know something that I don't know. So spill the beans Sig," I say, trying to convince him to tell me.

"Nope that is a discussion for you and Lucifer. I swore an oath of silence on the subject. Besides, this is information that you both need to discuss. An angel can't go back on an oath."

"I know you can't, but it was worth a shot. Unfortunately that comes with being an Angel. Even I know that an Angel's word is worth more than their pride," I say, as we reach a large metal door.

As soon as we reach forward to knock on the door, we hear a booming voice yell, "Come in." Stepping through the door, we see a younger-looking gentleman sitting on a large wooden chair. "Hello Sigmund, Hello Muerta, welcome to Hell. To what do I owe this pleasure? Sigmund it's been a few months since you've delivered a soul here," the young man says, jumping down and walking toward us.

"Hello Lucifer, well we just happened to have an assignment that brought us here. I brought Muerta with me since she is training to be the new Angel of Death. Also I know there are a few things you wanted to discuss with her. You told me that you wanted to tell her the truth as soon as she was awakened. Well she's been awakened and is currently in training to be my successor," Sigmund says, looking Lucifer straight in the eye. "Muerta would you like me to stay or would you like to talk to Lucifer in private?"

"Please stay, Sigmund. I'm really scared right now. I don't know what's going on and I don't fully trust Lucifer. I've never met him and he looks kind of shady," I say quietly, trying to hide the fear in my voice.

"You have nothing to fear Muerta. I'm not going to hurt you. I promise I just want to talk to you. It's been forever since I've seen you or your mother." Lucifer says, smiling at me.

"Lucifer stop playing games with her. She just had her world turned upside down. She just found out she's an angel, and with what you're about to tell her this is going to make things worse. So please just get to the point," Sigmund says sternly.

"Lucifer, what is Sigmund saying, what are you going to tell me? What is this big news that is going to turn my life upside down?" I say, shaking. I grab ahold of Sigmund's hand to find some sort of comfort.

"Muerta I wish I could have told you this under better circumstances, but as soon as Sigmund told me about Liam's plan to force you and Isa into your destinies, I couldn't believe that he would trap your mother in purgatory. She wanted to keep you from this life. To start, I should tell you a little background about myself and my relationship with your mother," Lucifer starts to explain.

"What do you mean your relationship with my mother?" I ask, confused.

"I'm getting to that. Back when I was visiting Earth from Hell about sixteen or seventeen years ago now, I met the most amazing woman. I fell deeply in love with her, but she was already married at the time. I thought I knew this man from somewhere but I could never put two and two together. Turns out the man she married was Liam. He attempted to conceal himself which I fell for, for about two months. We met each other by chance one day and I was so in love with her that it didn't matter to me that she was married. I wanted her and I would do anything to get her. I cornered her one day and asked if she would be willing to be in a polyamorous relationship with both Liam and I. She was open to it but she didn't know what he would say about it. It turns out he wasn't completely down for the whole idea. So Telia and I ended up fooling around behind Liam's back for a few months," Lucifer was explaining. But something just didn't make sense to me. I looked at him, confused.
