Isa's POV

"Muerta just contacted me, She and Sigmund are on an assignment," I say to Raphael.

"He's getting gutsy taking her on an assignment this early in her training. It hasn't even been a whole year yet. It's barely even been a week since you guys first awakened," Raphael says, his tone concerning. It's true that we were awakened less than a week ago in the Spirit Realm but I feel like Maria and I have progressed super quickly in our training. I've already been able to start flying at Mach five for at least an hour without getting tired.

"Why is it a bad thing that she is going out on the assignment with him?"

"If it's the assignment I think he took her on they are headed to Hell on her first assignment. I'm just wondering why he thought it would be a good idea, for that to be her first assignment."

"He's taking her to Hell, why?" I ask, feeling concerned for Maria's safety.

"I don't know, but if he felt she was strong enough for her first assignment to be escorting a soul to Hell he must have his reasons," Raphael explains seeing the concern on my face. "Are you ready to start training this morning?"

"Yessir," I say, seeing his face perk up at me calling him sir.

"You don't have to call me Sir. Technically I should be addressing you as my superior seems how your aura is stronger than mine. Also since you are one of the daughters of God," He says, explaining my rank to me.

"What do you mean my aura is stronger than yours?"

"You have the brightest aura I've seen for an Angel of Life. Our ranks are defined by the brightness of our auras, Mine is a bright golden yellow color. I'm sure you have noticed that at least. Your aura is so sky blue that it is almost white which is surprising because the only person with a white aura is Liam," He explains then he looks over at me.

"So is it different for Angels of Death?" I ask, realizing that Maria's color is extremely dark compared to ours.

"Angels of Death judge their rank by how dark their auras are. So yes it is different for them although I've never seen two Angels of Death at the same time," He explains, which brings another couple of questions to mind.

"What do you mean you have never seen two Angels of Death at the same time? Also another question, Why are their auras dark?" I asked genuinely curious.

"Well through the hundreds of years I've been an Angel I have only seen two Angels of Death, Sigmund, and Lucifer. And the answer to your second question is that as angels we are signals of virtue and light but the Angels of Death have their own code they must abide by. Their auras are so dark because in essence they kill people to make their living. I've never seen an aura as dark as Muerta's before, to be honest. Even Lucifer's was silver before he was denounced of Heaven and sent to Hell. I'd be hard-pressed to believe that one day after training your aura would turn white and Muerta's aura would turn black. One point of this training is to strengthen your auras and teach you how to do your jobs as Angels," He explains further, "As you age here and become stronger you will notice your spiritual bodies start to age and your wings and auras start to change colors."

"Wait, you truly believe I could be as strong as Liam at the end of my training?" I asked, truly wondering if I could be as strong as God.

"Well you're already stronger than every other angel in the realm aside from your sister. You're both on the same level but since your aura burns cooler than your sister's you can stifle her aura to bring her back to her senses. Hence if you wanted to you could control her just by using your aura," Raphael explains seeing the fear in my eyes, "It's fine Isa we both know you wouldn't if you didn't have to."
